I own a 2014 4Runner and I just bought a 1969 FJ40, original soft top version that was for sale in Orange County on Saturday Relatively all original except for full cage and a front guard/lights that were added (I like both of those add ons and I can always undo the work if I want). Am going to bring it to Off Road Warehouse (San Diego) next week to have some work done--brake shoes, shocks, tune-up, exhaust, some electrical fixes, maybe clutch. Original engine runs great (runs cool and no leaks) and all gauges work! My plan is to keep it stock and to do some upgrades to increase stock fidelity. It will be used for hunting and general fun truck. Anyway, will post some pix tonight but I LOVE my new ride!

Hi great to have you. people will look at you much different.

Congratulations on the new to you FST. Post pictures or it never happened:D

Yup. What they said. If there's no pics, there's no 40.

Here are the doors-- they look like half doors-- they look factory in terms of construction and hardware but I need to research it.

I plan to put the doors on this weekend to see how they work although I do like the doorless look. Anyway, thanks for the warm welcome gents! Martin

The doors use some factory hardware ... but... they are not factory .... they are however useful :)

Old school sand bar (roll bar) nice

Sor front push bar with brush guards ... seats redone ...

It does look like a FST as it has the correct body side hinges

Door strikers look like bestop ones

Welcome to mud :)

Want to know anything else about your truck just ask... we love throwing around opinions lol

Nice rig BTW

Good looking 40. Added bonus the color matches the great looking lawn.

Thanks for the info JohnnyC!! Funny but the seat belts are like what you would find on a kiddie ride at the fair. When I test drove it, I took my wife along for the short ride. First words out of her mouth: "I am NOT riding in that thing ever again, it is not safe...does it have air?" My answer: "I love it" and I drove it home shorty thereafter. Back to work for me. Later. MT
