Finished the exhaust at last - the first and last I will ever make!!
@cruisermatt - I didn't even know there was a term for what I was doing - I thought I was just hacking up good exhaust pipe! I did look at buying the bends, but never got around to ordering them, so thought I might as well just get stuck into it!!
Been driving around all arvo with the windows down just loving the sound!!
The tailpipe section was an absolute prick of a thing to make!

Bought a 1970 17' AL canoe from the original owner for $200. He even threw in a selection of paddles and a doggie lifevest. Took it to a local park and paddled around with wife & dawg.

Good to see ya taking time out to have some fun:).

Just finished up replacing one of the 2 rusted O2 sensors, specifically the "Bank 2" one (closest to the transmission). Dropped the exhaust to gain access to the nuts that hold it in there. The other is so rusted in there, I'm taking it to an exhaust shop and having them see if they can get it out of there without any real big issue. Anywho, after replacing the one, I cleared the Check Engine Light, cranked it up and the light finally stayed out for the first time since I've owned it the two years I've had it. Taking it this week to see if I can pass emissions now. Hopefully I do since the tag expires the end of this month...

A week ago loaded up the 60 with a couple of Dagger canoes, filled the inside with field gear, and the M416 tagged along with the overflow. Spent the week doing field work on the Paint Rock River in NE AL.

Finally got around to painting it. This is what it looked like the day it came home, nearly three years ago:

And today, still need to paint the roof. That'll happen when the roof rack comes off to get some expanded sheet metal:

Excellent color scheme. ;)

Some stuff done.

Cleaned up wiring off he positve battery terminal—four small wires and the winch all moved to a four terminal 8-32 terminal block and a one terminal 3/8” with new positive cables.

Replaced worn sheepskin seat covers with Cabella's Trail Gear black/pixel camo w/Molle.
That's my grand daughter. She's helping.

Replaced floor mats with Cabela's Trail Gear floormats—accidentally ordered two sets so used the other set for the back seat and the fit great—sideways!

New dashmat.
Shade for radio made from handle off a large-ish magnetic parts tray.
Full coverage gauge pod for vacuum gauge modified with aluminum plate on bottom to facilitate velcro mounting on dash mat and a ½” hole in the back for vacuum hose/wiring routing.

Added Wilson 1000 CB antenna to back of roof rack and added ground wires to C pillar. Pics of the ground wires later, though all they are is 10 gauge wire screwed to the rack on one end and the pillar on the other.

New Cobra powered mic for CB.
Put magnets on mounting bracket for CB to allow changing position of unit.
Also modified mic clip to make it magnetic mounting. No pic of the radio bracket yet.

Finished the home built aluminum flat roof rack. Well, almost. MB/GPW/CJ2A hood latches ordered to hold down front deflector/protector plate. Standoffs for same installed—Energy Suspension bullet bumpstops in red, of course. There will be a rear air deflector eventually once I figure out what to build it from. Aluminum pipe would be good but very, very spendy. More pics of this later when the final touches are on it.
