Hello all - looking to sell my 2000 LC with 210.4k miles. Fairly clean and mechanically sound but has some rust on body in the usual places. I have owned it for 4 years, new timing belt & radiator @ 191k miles, done front brakes, left front axle, exhaust, new battery, tees, new tires, okole seat covers. Big issue is that rust has started showing up in top corners of the windshield, with leaks now. I am not in a position to pursue repairing so I’m putting it up for sale here hoping that someone with the necessary skills or courage will be interested. I just joined in order to help my neighbor sell his 2000 Lexus LX470.
I really want to buy this myself, but my wife will kill me if I buy another car, so I'm hoping another enthusiast will pick it up.
It has ~217,000 miles, and the timing belt was done at 162k miles. He is the second owner, and the first owner was a friend of his.
This car has been his daughter's car in college at UCSB, but she wants something more fuel efficient.
The only mechanical issue we're aware of is that the Sunroof just stopped working, but it's closed now and it doesn't leak. If I were going to buy it, I would just leave it closed and not mess with it.
The tires have some tread left, but should definitely be replaced. (They have a 2019 date...

I am selling my 2002 Lexus LX470/100 Series Land Cruiser. I bought the vehicle from Copart with a salvage title one year ago when I was living in Phoenix. As a hobby I like to buy salvage Toyotas from Copart and restore them. This vehicle had a great service history and ran great, it just had cosmetic damage, so I bought it and fully restored it. This vehicle has arguably one of the most reliable powertrains ever built. A naturally aspirated V8 paired with a 4 speed transmission. Here is everything I have done to the vehicle:
-Installed a Aisin TKT021 Timing Belt Kit
-Replaced the Engine Thermostat and Housing
-Replaced the Engine Oil Seal
-Replaced all 8 spark plugs
-Flushed the engine coolant twice with distilled water and replaced it...
I have owned this LX since 2013. The wife used it to commute 75 miles to work and back weekly along with vacations so most miles are highway miles. The timing belt was just changed at 150000 miles and the oil is changed regularly every 10K. I really haven’t had many issues with it but did remove the aftermarket head unit and replaced it with the factory one. The aftermarket had too many lights for me. The drivers seat has the usual tears but all others are fine. We are selling it because we don’t drive it enough any more. I can send more pictures if needed and will try to get more today.
