I have cash in hand. I want to be able to examine the truck in person, pay cash, get the title handed to me and drive it home. I'm in SC, just a few miles south of Charlotte NC, so the closer the better. Hopefully, no more than 5-6 hours away....
Since it seems like Christmas to me, here's my wish list (in order of importance) the truck must be in excellent overall condition and:
1) must have working factory lockers
2) NO rust
3) NO accidents road or trail
4) full maintanence history with less than 150000 miles
5) exterior color White or Blue (...I really don't want Green)
6) NO tears on interior
7) interior color Grey
8) "off road accessories" OK but NO snorkles - the wife drew the line there....

I am looking for a stock or mild build, rust free FZJ80 or HDJ81 with sub 150000 mileage. My budget is $10K for a good TLC. Willing to travel anywhere in USA or Canada for the right truck. Vehicle must be in good shape. Lockers are must for FZJ80 and prefer a cloth interior, but leather is ok.

1995 FZJ80 currently has 91,319 miles. Runs and drives very well. I have to many cruisers just sitting so this one is for sale. Rig was lightly rolled 5+ years ago. Everything works and works well but the cruiser does have small dents all over. Does not leak or have any issues. I was planning on building it but never got around to it. It does get driven at least once a month but I have 3 other cruisers in AK so this one must go.
I did shave all the flares back in 2006. Then it was professionally rhino lined. but everything else is stock. Rig is in Sterling Alaska. It does have two sets of tires and wheels. Summer set is shown. Has studs on black steel wheels for winter.
Great running and driving low milage cruiser...
191,000 miles, factory electronic lockers. It runs strong, has decent tires, and besides a few things body is in okay shape. I hate to sell it but between the Army, girlfriend, and my bike i don't really have time for it anymore so it just sits at my parents.
It does have a couple issues..Engine wise there's an oil leak from the valve cover gasket and the brake booster went out awhile back. brakes still work so I haven't fixed it, you just have to push pretty hard lol
As far as the body goes paint is in good condition but the front bumper is pretty jacked up. I found out why personal vehicles aren't allowed on tank trails about a month ago... then there is a small dent in the rear bottom door

What do you guys think? He said exterior is in good shape other than hood and roof sun damage. Slight leak from head gasket but no HG service or front axle service. He is second owner and has had it since '98. Not sure about lockers yet but I did ask the question. It's a couple hour drive for me to take a look. Good-runs great, family owned since new have all records, changed oil every 3000, pass emissions, factory lockers and transfercase that work, new tires (Michelin LTX M/S 275/70R16), full floater rear axel w/ disk brakes, AC, sunroof
Bad - rusty upper tail gate (have new one just haven't gotten installed), steering pump leak, cracking leather seats, miscellaneous scratches from normal use (not perfect)

Paint and body looked good. Limo tinted windows so I couldn't see inside too well but the odometer had 155k but no locker switch. 3rd row seats, recent rear exhaust with no diffuser, tow bar plastic sunroof deflector and 4 window deflectors. Front wheel wells lokked good and no rust that I saw.
93 FZJ80 with 175K miles White with ARB front and rear bumpers with tire carrier. Runs great engine purrs and the tranny shifts solidly. 1 year old ION wheels with 33" Nitto ATs (also 1 year old) AC blows cold. Tracks straight and stops well. Vehicle located in Jenks Oklahoma
Bad...It just started leaking from a tranny gasket, unsure where. It leaks a drop every so often while parked, more right after driving, havent driven it since it started to leak. No time to take care of it.
Front seats are worn and have cracks in the leather. Power windows go up and down a bit slow...regulator?
