I am selling a 1992 FJ80 which I acquired back in May from a dealer in Arizona, see it here on craigslist out 1992 Toyota Land Cruiser - FJ80 - 3FE engine. This rig is totally rust free underneath and shows very well inside and out as it is a lifetime AZ vehicle.
The 3fe idles and runs strong! When I bought it I had it inspected and all checked out. However on delivery there were a few hidden issues which prevented me from smogging the car in the glorious state of CA. Engine idling rough and a leaking gas tank. I replaced the gas tank and updated the entire ignition system, set the timing and tps, & replaced all the vac hoses, pcv valve hoses, etc. It now idles and runs great. Compression checked and is solid across 6...

175k miles with front/rear differential lock, electric moon roof, electric windows, electric front seats, leather interior (covers on front seats), rear seats, and fold-up third row seats. Power rear view mirrors, power antenna, cruise control. Air conditioning.
Tow hitch installed (no wiring harness/no electric).
Everything works other than a few interior dash lights. Kept in garage and then sun-shades when in use.
Single owner since 86k miles almost 14 years ago with no major issues.
Maintenance records date back to 86k miles - I've got them all.

No rust top or bottom. Interior condition needs to be good. Don't care about add ons of mods. Prefer diff locks. Best if it has a bad motor or is high mile, I am going to do a motor swap in it. Prefer Denver, SLC or Boise area or anything in between so it is not to nasty of a drive for me to come pick it up.

I saw this add last night on CL and passing it on.. theres a1994 blue 80 series with 170,000 (if memory is correct) on CL in Ocala FL. also in Orlando fl CL. comes with extra 160,000 engine. asking 4000. seems like a good deal for someone if its legit.

I'm looking at the 80 and wanted to get yalls opinion on whether or not this is worth a look. It's about a 2 1/2hr drive for one of my buddies. I know it's hard to tell from just pics and a description. The owner isn't a very good historian on the vehicle.

This has been, by far, the best and most reliable vehicle I have ever owned and has been maintained by a local Toyota specialist (and up till recently a 1995 Land Cruiser owner). A friend of mine is looking for an 80. He had a 96 for a bunch of years and regrets selling it. I'm more tied into the community, so I'm helping him pick one out. He's got $5-10k and willing to travel a bit to find the right one (we're in the Vail area). It will be the DD for his wife, tow their raft in the summer, and probably some off-road.
