It is finally time (sniff) for me to say good bye to my cruiser. This is an 89 FJ62 with 234M miles on it. The 'engine is not happy. It sounds like it threw a rod. Other than that it was working great. Would be willing to sell the fron bumper/bull bar with Warn 'winch seperately. I have a stock bumper in the garage.
Right passenger window is broken (weed trimmer threw wa rock that hit the window). Very clean frame underneath. A little rust on the back hatch and the typical tear in the seat fabrix of the driver's seat.
Let me know if you are interested in a project vehicle that you could bring back to life. I'ld like to get $2500 for the cruiser but of course I would consider offers.

1988 FJ62 Landcruiser Rock Crawler Project
Clean title
162k miles .Has been wheeled once, was a buddys wife's daily driver before that.
I drove it back and forth to work for a few weeks before we started working on it.
The top has been chopped after the front seats, and the rear overhang has been shortened about 13".
Fenders have been cut to clear 38" tires with no lift. (low center of gravity for rock crawling)
The fuel injected straight six(3fe) runs great with no smoke and no noise.

Up for sale is my pampered FJ60. This FJ has a 4 cyl 3B motor that has been turboed using a Garrett 2052.

This truck pulls like no other 3B ive driven. The engine is solid, starts first time every time, the turbo spools up immediatly and is a blast to drive.
A new project on the horizon forces sale ... if I could I would keep both!
Only been off road once and it was mild. It has been mostly used as a Daily driver and for camping trips with the family.

Nice original 85 FJ60 with 248k miles. Runs great. Head has been rebuiilt, clutch and radiator replaced. AC needs charge. Interior is very nice with normal drivers seat wear. When I got it, it had normal rust in wheel wells. I replaced with panels from Texas rust free quarters. Repaint original beige. Also replaced inner frame rails. It is a 1983 FJ60 Sprung over, 35" tires, Atlas Case, 5 speed, 2F engine, Kamar rear bumper, custom front bumper, Warn winch, custom sliders, Rear disc brakes, 9" Ford rear axle (I think it's a Ford), some rust in rear frame rails. It looks kinda rusty to a desert dweller but a rust belt dweller would think it's a puff.

1983 Fj60. The key way at the end of the crankshaft has rounded and in turn destroyed the crankshaft pulley. Engine is sitting motionless in my garage and would require a replacement crankshaft or new engine...or weld a new crankshaft pulley to the end of the crankshaft. To be clear, the engine runs strong, but without the belts turning it will not recharge the battery or run the water pump at all. I purchased this rig in November 2008 and the crankshaft problem occurred in April 2010. It has 240K miles on the engine. The top end of the engine was rebuilt by the previous owner at 215K. The carburator was rebuilt at 215K by an outfit in Denver. I have all of my reciepts and those of previsous owners. I had the front axle replaced and...
Great condition Land Cruiser!! The body is in nearly perfect condition and so is the undercarriage. The engine runs great and the transmission has no problems. Brand new all-terrain tires put on 2 weeks ago along with new front bearings and wheel cylinders. The interior is in really good shape for a 26 year old car! 200k original miles on the car.

A 1983 BJ 60 that is going to Nanaimo early next week for parting out. The 3B engine with 252,000km will be for sale along with the manual transmission. Both are in great shape to my knowledge. $3000 with the engine removed, crated, tarped and compression tested. Axles off of that vehicle are also for sale along with any other parts you might want..really the only major thing of note would be the rad, leafs, ujoints, shocks, exhaust which is near new, trailer hitch, 31 inch mudstars ($400). Delivery is possible but pick up is preferred as I am a teacher in a small native community on the west coast of Vancouver Island and my time to deliver to the border or elsewhere is tight.
A 1986 HJ 60 is also on the west coast of Vancouver...

need to sell my fj62. its an '89 with "only" 274,000 on the clock...
despite the high mileage it runs great!
well maintained by previous owner and while i only bought it a month ago, it has served me well.
i have run into some tough times though and need to liquidate some things....and my cruiser has to go.
replaced the fuel pump last week and the fuel pulsation damper as well.
tires are decent, everything works but the AC...belt is broken and it was on the list of things to do but not anymore...
but the body does have rust....as my screen name alludes to.

This cruiser has been a great DD vehicle for me for the past 5 years and have put around 30k miles since I bought it. CD player and disk changer. The interior and headliner is pretty clean, driver's seat is torn (as usual). 4 good 33" BFG All Terrains about 1/3 worn. New windshield. Rear tube bumper. All glass is good.
I just found out that 2 of the cylinders have low compression and do not have the time or will to fix it. It still starts right up ever ytime and drives fine...just a bit lacking on the power. It does not blow smoke or anything like that. I just drove it from Buena Vista to Denver (200 miles over 3 mountain passes) and back and it did just fine- not going to win any races though.

The frame on my BJ60 is nearly done. It's driveable for another few months but not beyond that.
Here's the good on the rest of it:
252,000 on a 3B engine. 5 speed manual.
OME shocks, leafs, steering stabilizers, medium all around. Installed three months ago by Metal Tech in Portland.
Veggie oil system hooked up to the engine with a separate tank in the bank. Ran 1200 litres through in the last year and it always liked it.
Decent body until you get to the back. Rust on the rear quarter panels. Couple of rust spots on the lower doors, and wheel wells are in need of replacement.
Near new Yokohama Geolander 31.75 inch tires with only 5000 km on them. Rad recently replaced, new glowplugs, new batteries, new front...
