I pulled this 1974 F motor to replace with a 2F. Not sure if motor runs I bought the vehicle with plans of outing 2F instead. Motor does turn freely and comes with hooker headers radiator alternator distributor. 350.00 medford Oregon 97501

I have a titled 1972 FJ40 frame with motor for sale. Replace that rusted frame! I could use all of the cliche's, my appetite was bigger than my stomach, or "near" divorce forces sale, but the reality is that I need the money from the future project to finance the current project. Listing this for my brother-in-law who now is the current owner. The 40 holds a current California registration and the title is clean (no salvage) . I bought this in 1979 right out of high school from Len Sheridan Toyota in Santa Monica CA, it had 3200 miles on it. I sold it to my brother-in-law in the late 80’s. I had the motor rebuilt by Dick Hedman of Hedman Hedders back in the late 80’s. My brother-in-law has been the owner for 30 years or so.

Selling my beloved Toyota Land Cruiser FJ 40, 1974 pluto beige OEM original color! To my knowledge, I am the 3rd owner, with a previous owner having done restoration work in 2008. Here's a quick overview of it. Asking $18,000 OBO. Will work with people on here to coordinate. I have it posted on eBay and Craigslist also, but I won't go out of way with those folks.

If you're not, then I'll cut to the chase. This is a remarkable 1968 Toyota FJ40 Landcruiser that lived most of its life in Arizona. This two owner US Spec Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 came from Arizona. She has had an extensive mechanical overhaul. The owner reports there's "nothing left to do mechanically."
The truck has a freshly rebuilt engine that came from a 1976 FJ40 (2F-077633). The engine was rebuilt by Bob Hollingsworth at TPI 4x4 in Nashville. The head was milled .30 over, dome pistons and rings installed. All the new gaskets, vacuum lines, etc. The engine has only a few thousand miles on it. The break-in oil has been changed once. The truck reportedly runs, drives and brakes excellent!
The balance of the work including disc brakes was performed by Voodoo Cruisers.

Restored 1971 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40
I've been keeping my eye out for a project and missed out on a few locally that have popped up so figure I'll post up here to be a little more active in my search.
I am located in Raleigh NC, but willing to travel or possibly ship the right vehicle.
Looking for a project, must have a clean title, prefer one that has a drivetrain but not required. Limited rust is preferred, but also not afraid to go with an aftermarket tub for the right one. Not too picky on model year, and truthfully don't know all the differences between them.
Budget around 8-10k, +- obviously depending on vehicle condition and location. I put 45 in the title, but don't expect much in that realm with my budget.
With four growing boys the 40 is not the most practical truck any more so we will be trading her off. This is one of the most unique 40's out there, with the increased wheelbase and widened flares, stroked 381, lockers front and rear, hard top, soft top and bikini top, full and half doors. Turn key, starts up and runs great every time.
