I am in the market to buy a FJ40. Preferably - 77 -78 -79 US, rebuilt engine 2F, no rust, nice paint job, I want a rig that I don't have to worry about. I know that an FJ40 will be a never ending project, but I want that one car that somebody here has put together and needs to sell. I like stock models, but not a purist, disc brakes, and power steering are needed. 30k and depending on the car possibly up to 40k. serious buyer.

Grafton Vermont: 1971 FJ40. (no affiliation)
Spotted this one while searching through local land cruiser ads. Looks like it might be a relatively clean and stock unmolested truck. Price is too high for me but probably inline with or maybe even low if its a clean and stock machine. https://vermont.craigslist.org/cto/d/cambridgeport-classic-toyota-fj40/6975906911.html "This beauty with less then 35,000 original miles desires a new owner. 3 on the column, 4 wheel drive. Winch on the front. Recent spot rust. Clean" On a side note: its funny that in one photo they felt the need tot blot out the license plate but in the preceding photo its clearly visible. 🤣
I like to monitor Costa Rica rigs, this came up down there. The 45 Looked Interesting https://costarica.craigslist.org/cto/6980181457.html?lang=en&cc=us If anyone is interested in going down there, lmk I have a Airbnb that you can enjoy for a great deal :) But Jaco Beach probably a little funner https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/22732186?s=67&shared_item_type=1&virality_entry_point=1&sharer_id=146775334
San Diego, CA: 1974/Toyota/FJ40
1974 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 F155 motor, four speed manual. Probably over 100k miles, no way of knowing since odometer broke at 56,000. Therefore assume 156,000 minimum. Recently replaced clutch, cylinder head, oil pan, front axle seals and brakes. Radiator replaced 4 years ago. Starts easily and runs very smooth. Solid truck, drives straight. Rear differential will need replacement, there’s a bit of play when the clutch is engaged too quickly so it clunks slightly-go easy and it’s not a problem. Price reflects this fact.
