Where we’re going, we don’t need these holes..
i made the executive decision to have these welded up. There’s a OEM plug for one of them but they don’t last long being so close to the engine in my experience.

We have a pretty good auto paint store a few blocks from the shop so we’ll get a spray can mixed up and touch these spots up later.

Everything on this side is pretty snug. But it fits. Almost as if we planned it like that !

From my view, this is such a small niche market that no one would ever get overwhelmed enjoying the work you’ve got going on Matt. It’s also a small world and when the need arises there are few well recognized experts and blowing your own horn and backing it up with details has got to be one of the best feathers in a cap to have …. drew up a quick channel with the correct dimensions to repair this radiator support a bit more nicely. I left the bolt holes 0.10" and will drill to exact dimensions/location once installed

This would have been good time to widen the radiator 1.5" to the factory air con width. I've already got the new Toyota non-aircon rad, so we're not doing it. But otherwise this would be the time. When I put the Vortec in my Troopy in '01, I did exactly this for added cooling.

Justin got the last of the fuel/brake lines finished up this morning.
He killed it on these.
He also modified up a 60 fuel filter bracket to work for this setup

And with the sheila and kids all back in Australia with family for the winter, I was able to blast the driver-side window frame and get it primed. I'll get it painted and get the weather strip glued on it before the Paki Pig gets back so I can install it. I've only got one day off between trips right now, so next break I'll paint it.

I'll be heading down shortly, so I want to get the last minute stuff done here before I head over. Really looking forward to finally driving this 'restored' rig when I get back to the States!

Controlled crab grass AKA 'St Augustine'. Good thing is it's easy to grow and it spreads like taxes. Bad thing is it's itchy and it's home to endless varieties of insects, weeds and critters.

Some progress on the Paki Pig. I got some pics from Matt. Air con is coming along. Front axle was apparently full of water at some point, so I wound up buying new birfields and spidles for it. Luckily Matt had those in stock.

I need a fan shroud to fit an '81-'84 40 series non air con. Mine was for an HJ45 (not for an Hj47 that I know if), so doesn't fit the new clutch fan. If anyone has one they would like to sell, please let me know and we can get it over to Matt ASAP.

I've also got the fan shroud for sale if anyone needs one. I had it sold some time ago, but Matt thought we could make it work so Ihung on to it: no luck adapting it though. My email got hacked about 2 weeks ago and I lost all my stored emails so I've lost who it was who was interested in it. Please PM if you see this.

Repairs on radiator support, good as new !

Clarification on fan shroud, the reason the fitment was so far off, and the reason the radiator support was chopped so badly to accomodate befre (see page 4) is because the fan shroud that was on this was from a HJ45. So if anyone needs a HJ45 fan shroud, we have one

Next up, we are getting deep int the HVAC install.. the only option we could find for a RHD was Nostalgic Air, and it was much less of a comprehensive kit then described. It was basically a bare underdash unit and "good luck!"

So, start with some mounting brackets... Justin made some quick temp ones that I modeled off of so we can keep working while these come in from laser.
