I am moving back to Canada and selling my fun mountain truck - a patina Rustic green 1974 FJ40 with an LS conversion built by Bsquared from this forum. I'm the 2nd owner since the restoration project, and in the last 3 years I've put only a few hundred miles on the thing. It sits at my place in Big Bear Lake California, garage stored, with basically 0% humidity.

I’m posting this for a buddy that’s not on here. I’ve seen this rig in person. And, I’m willing to take detailed photos or video if requested.
The story I remember is that my buddy bought this around decade ago from a helo pilot on Ft Rucker. The PO replaced the tub. Not sure if it is OEM or another brand. It is solid though. I did not see any rust through. It has the original 2F with 4 speed. I’ve seen him drive it all over and even up to Troy AL which is over 50 miles rounds trip.
I think with a little buffing and some new tires, you’d have a later model, solid 40.

I have a '80 FJ40 that needs a new home. Also have 2 more (78 blue ragtop /68 black matte HT) 40s and a couple nice FJ43s in Denver. This is a very original truck, and after a bad experience w/ a body shop down here, I've decided to either find her a new home or possibly part her out due to the shipping costs. Tho, I'd rather keep her intact in a new garage if possible.
Runs fine and has no leaks. The metal and frame are VERY good w/ some minor surface rust.
Needs: one back glass, drivers seat, one side back slider, upholstery, gaskets, wipers, badges, etc. (see photos)
Has: driver side step, one back glass, spare rack, and both front door skins.

1968 FJ40 project. Tub has been patched, but is solid. Inside of tub and engine bay has been sprayed with bed liner. Has small block Chevy V8 mated to Land Cruiser 3-speed transmission/t-case.
Parts that come with it are new Holley carburetor, new air cleaner, new plug wires, new motor mounts, new poly body mounts, lights, trim pieces, etc.

Up for grabs is this gorgeous FJ40 that was sold to me here on Mud last November. The 40 is the work of @simps80 who lovingly brought it back from the dead and restored it with countless man hours of labor and dedication and I would imagine quite a bit of hard earned $’s.

I am at a cross roads as many people before me. Over the past few years I have accumulated parts and cruisers to build one from the ground up the way/condition I wanted one. But I severely underestimated the time needed to raise a newborn and maintain a house. I managed with kid one but now with the second on the way I have come to realize I won’t have the time to dedicate to this build as I have with others in the the past.
With that being said I am curious if their is interest in what I have collected over the years in it current state. Not really interested in parting out, would like to sell as a lot or at least in “groups of FJs” as you’ll see below. Also parts from 1, 2 or 3 are not commingled.

Beautiful 2 registered owner FJ40 produced for the USA with 3.9L I-6 motor. Originally purchased in Asheville, NC then shipped and spent most of its life on a Ranch in Wyoming. Repainted in what is believed to be its original Spring Green color, otherwise all original. Odometer shows approximately 28,000 miles and after talking to the sellers and inspecting condition I truly do believe that to be the true mileage. The truck is gorgeous in and out and so clean for its age and never being restored. Everything functions as it should from factory including the 4wd system. This FJ40 has retained its original heaters front and rear. This FJ is equipped with 3 speed manual on the column (3 on the tree) and a blast to drive. Includes (2)...
Selling my beloved FJ40 that I have spent years rebuilding. I got two boys heavy into baseball down here in Florida and the truck just sits in the garage now. Every mechanical system in this truck has been rebuild or replaced. I will try to list out the upgrades below:

After eye balling my wife's FJ40 for a year now, I'm envious enough to where I'm ready to buy my own. I've gone back and forth on a project vs a finished truck, and have had to admit to myself that my current job doesn't give me enough time to take on another project, so I'm looking for something that is pretty much done.
I'm hoping to find something that has the original engine and as close to stock as possible. I've scoured the usual suspects (Craigslist - I've seen a couple of maybes, and the likes of Hemmings and Classic Cars) but looking to cast the net a little wider.
Does anyone on the forum have anything that fits the bill that they're looking to sell or are considering selling?

1970 - no top, doors, and "ran when parked". But a rust free tub and original engine. If it was closer, I'd do an in-person and come in quite a bit lower than ask (and the probably piss him off :) )

New tires and lights as well. Original owners manual and warranty cards included. Floorboards are solid and the rust you see on the sides and back panels were replaced with fresh metal. New headliner in the box as well. Side steps were rebuilt and ready to go back on. Have single staged paint in cans to cover the new metal as well. Also, stock mirrors to replace the ones on now.
