FWIW. I bought these

All 2f
All original Parts galore
One had Aqualu tub

Pissed my wife off. It was so sweet

I will post some up very soon.

I will turn the 1978/77 into one and the 1980 with aqualu tub is my new "daily" driver!

the seller was a cool guy.

Here are some

The yellow is a 1980 with an aqualu tub power steering 2f procomp lift

The 78 and 77 are crap but full of good parts. Good frames good engines that run and all kinds of goodies such as dash switches, seats, tanks, fusebox. Even rear heaters that work. Bf Goodrich tires in great shape etc

I suspect I can make one from two
It will be kick ass and I can drive the 1980 as as daily

$14000 I didn’t even quibble about the price

How long out of the year can you really drive a convertible FJ cruiser in Minnesota as your daily driver? A few months? The 77 & 78 look like salvage trucks, but Good luck with project.

Good for you eaj71. Sometimes when I look at my FJ’s as an investment I get disappointed. Then I look at the joy of ownership and celebrate. Enjoy!!!!!!!

It’s gonna be a mess for years!!

Heheheh Heheheh

Here is the 1978 being torn down some more

Needs a new clutch....

So that’s next

Not sure if I should say congrats or feel pitty for you. Yellow is ok I guess, but how long out of the year can you really drive a convertible FJ cruiser in Minnesota as your daily driver? A few months? The 77 & 78 look like straight junkyard dogs. Basically salvage trucks. Good luck and have fun making one mutt out of two beater neutered dogs.
lol
If you put a hardtop on it no longer remains a convertible????

No need to feel sorry for him. He could part the two parts trucks out and recoop a substantial amount of his initial investment. He did good IMO.
