Selling a 1977 Land Cruiser FJ40. It appears it's been off the road since 1997 by the plate tag. It was inop in the high desert for years. The odometer shows 76,151 miles. Sold as you see it. No transmission, transfer case, or top. It does come with the rear ambulance doors.
The body has little rust through. There was 2" of dirt that had blown into and settled onto the floorboards and probably sat there for years so there is rust through in spots there.
The engine turns over by hand and the plugs look good. The smog pump and air injectors are in place. Original type carb.

Restored 1967 Toyota FJ40. Bought it last year in Colorado. Has been restored and is in great shape. It has a Edlebrock Fuel injected 350 V8 and a GM 700R transmission. Completely rewired with painless wiring harness. All gauges are new and work including after market tach. Front and back heaters both work. Has a warner winch on the front and led lights in the grill. 33 inch tires that are 80%. Seats are leather replacements. Back seats are good. Body shows no significant rust. All glass is good. This thing is a blast to drive and will run 80 mph although I would not suggest it as it is an off...

I needed new seats in my FJ40, and got these BMW 3 series seats from a junk yard and had mounting brackets made up so I could install them. I'm 6'4" and have the stock steering wheel, and I just don't fit right...I'm too big! This would be ideal for someone smaller, and maybe for someone who has a smaller steering wheel. June 1973 Factory Soft Top FJ40 (FST). While I don’t have the actual soft top (I wish I did), most of you know that the soft top version is different than the much more common hard top version in a few ways including: Drop down tailgate instead of the barn-doors, also the doors can be removed without tools by simply twisting them off. There are a few other small differences. This one was originally Dune Beige, but a previous owner painted it what I think is Horizon Blue to match the hardtop. Rear fenders have not been cut.
