[ga] 1976 fj40
SOLD For Sale or Trade. 1976 FJ40 – less than 300 miles since body off restoration (build thread link in my sig line). This is by far the coolest vehicle I’ve owned or had the privilege to work on, but with 3 kids, it’s time to move up to something bigger. All engine, tranny and t-case seals and gaskets replaced with the exception of valve stem seals and VC gasket. It doesn’t burn oil, so I was waiting to replace those during the next valve adjustment. New water pump, t-stat and hoses. No rust. Brand new wheels/MT tires (30x9.5 R15). New TRE’s. Carb just rebuilt by Mark. MAF HEI distributor. New GR starter. Warn front bumper with Warn 8274, remote, Amsteel 3/8”x85ft synthetic line and hook (by Southeast Overland). New 48” Hi-Lift jack...
One of them is taken completely apart in order to perform a frame-off restoration. This vehicle comes with the original motor, transmission, and PTO winch. The second one currently has the fenders, running boards, and bumpers taken off where I was going to do some minor restorations to it and ran into financial problems. This vehicle has a 350 conversion (no leaks or smoke, runs perfect), spring over axle, 4" leafspring lift, rear locker, and Saginaw power steering with high steer conversion. It has also had a disk brake conversion on the front. It will need a new set of tires soon, as seen in the photo. All this one needs to be legal is to have the turn signals put back on. Extra parts list: (not counting what has already been...
1978 Toyota FJ-40 Landcruiser. Excellent original condition with a few upgrades. California born and raised then moved to Reno,Nevada. The Odometer shows 35k miles but I’m guessing it’s 135k. It has spent the better part of the last 20 years sitting in garages. The Good: It’s all original except where noted. Original mustard yellow paint. A lot of mechanical work has been done the last four years and since then it has been garaged and driven only occasionally. Rebuilt carb and complete tune-up. Most of the Cal emissions equipment operational, passed NV smog last year. Previous owner installed a Downey header and removed the carb heat system. Rebuilt radiator. Complete steering rebuild: New tie rod ends, drag link end, centering...

'78 FJ40, Amazing Shape, ALL smog equipment intact (Oregon)
Selling by beloved 78’ FJ40. I had all intentions of keeping the vehicle forever, but I just don’t have the time to appreciate it for what it is. I bought it approximately 4 years ago from the second owner in Portland with 150k +/- on the clock. It spent much of its life traveling in E Oregon and Idaho on the highways throughout the 80’s and it is now just sitting in my shop in Sisters Oregon (just outside of Bend). It is in excellent shape for the year. The rig is as 99.99% rust free and pristine as they come. All original throughout, down to the paint. The vehicle retains ALL the stock smog equipment and runs excellent. The specifics of the vehicle: Drivetrain: -All stock. -Warn hubs, 4x4 works great, shifts like a dream. -Less than...
1969 fj40--$5000
Selling 1969 FJ40 hardtop with plow--$5000. Strong engine (chevy straight 6) with approximately 75,000 miles. Needs front end work due to damage to passenger ball joint from plowing. Only used intermittently for snowplowing in mountains of Montana. Had hoped to restore it, but my kids taking too much of my time. Would need to trailer it as I've got the front axle out of it.

1974 FJ 40 Project
This is a nearly complete project rig designed to be a sand and rock toy. It still needs things like the alternator, power steering pump, and the brackets and pulleys. There is no battery or wiring harness in the engine bay. Stock drive shafts are included, but they don't look like they have been modified to fit yet. The original owner/builder passed away a couple of years ago, and I am trying to help the family out. There are no receipts or documents to verify details, so the parts descriptions are just general observations that I made while looking the rig over a few days ago. It is parked in a work shop just north of Phoenix, so it is in a dry, clean climate. The body is in very good shape. It has a little surface rust...

1974 FJ-40 Toyota Land Cruiser
This has been a labor of love for many years. This is a very nice FJ-40 with a bikini top, the hard top and sides with rear ambulance door, metal doors AND canvas doors, and the original canvas top rails. Everything was repainted so all pieces match. The original 2F engine runs great and the truck's odometer is now showing 800 miles. The service records are inconsistent re mileage - some of the records would suggest the truck now has over 100,000 miles and other records suggest that we're at 200,800. There are two jump seats although only one is installed at this time. I have the side mirrors but they are not installed. It's ready to enjoy now or add your own finishing touches to this FJ 40. Power steering was...
80 FJ 40, 4 link, air shox, full hydro, Audi 2.8, dual cases, etc Van, BC Canada
After much hand wringing, it has come the time. I've got my house for sale now and my new home won't have garage space. Unfortunately for me, my poor 40 has been sitting only being taken out a couple times a year at best, and the costs of supporting two wheeling trucks is a bit overwhelming at this point, so sadly, the less family friendly truck has to go. Hardly have much time for it lately to work on the little things, but as it stands, it's ready to go at the turn of a key and wheel. It's driveable to the trails as it stands, but with airshocks when they've been sitting a bit, they need to cycle to stiffen up, so the ride is very soft when it hasnt been driven in a few months. Wheels like mad. Insured with regular insurance, no...
STURDY 79 FJ40 for sale!

Need 79-on donor 12volt FJ40 for electrical chassis/parts for my money pit dream Landcruiser. The LONG VERSION: After enjoying the heck out of my 78 FJ40, I decided to pass on the good times and do my part to restore another TLC. I hated gassing up every 2-3 days with my old 2F. So I was dead set on a BJ. I bought and imported an unmolested but well aged/rusted 82 BJ42 from vancouver to florida 2 years ago. Importing and shipping costed over $3K- the first of many pains in my head and wallet. I happily drove the "Red Dragon" whenever I could while I saved up for the restore. I want to drive and enjoy this BJ42 when done, so my plan is to do the frame off and modify it with PS, AC. But it is 24volt-I can't even charge my...
