Gonna fag this up now even more. Sorry not sorry.
[caveat]: MUD is dead to me for most of the previous reasons I came to MUD. It’s utterly boring and full of clowns and bots and people using AI to pretend that know something. [IE: I hate coming here now]
That said: the cycling section of MUD is still fun. IE: bike people having fun riding bikes. It’s pretty fücking organic and real.
In any event:
I’m going to fag out on Tadej.
That pull today from the bottom of the Huez being down 3:30 and then blasting up blowing every single human out to win it?
I don’t know any more.
So much of the past fückhead Armstrong is so imbued within any conversation of greatness in cycling. Tadej is literally having to have to fight a ghost he never knew.
Did anyone ever question Michael Jordan? Ayrton Senna? Pele? Messi? Muhammad Ali? Karim Abdul Jabbar? They are all endurance athletes that destroyed their competition.
Lance was a fücktard. He sucked his own fücking dick. And everyone knew it. He was also a terrible human being. He always fücked everyone over in his orbit. He was just at base level a terrible human being.
I see nothing of that from Tadej.
He is not an awful human being.
He is not self-absorbed; he will never be on Oprah show to confess his misdeeds; Everyone in the peloton loves to give him a hug; he supports everyone for all of the stages and categorizations; he does not demean any of his rivals.
In fact, it seems from at least the TV footage available, everyone of his adversaries engages with him in a loving way. They all embrace.
if anything he is probably on some sort of exceptional psychedelics that remove the “wow look at the light show” aspect of those drugs.
Those drugs are the only ones perfectly suited to endurance sports that have no tests— you can’t test for psychedelics. Listen to his post race interviews:
he’s 100% “I am enjoying this for the “now.” The “now” is all he has available to him. Tadej is all about how he does what he does “now.”
I ride every single long bike ride I do between 50-100 miles on psychedelics. They are the perfect drug for doing one thing for very long periods of time.
And the only operation that has the money to figure out a way to remove the trippy/dippy stuff from psychedelics are the DXB folks because they have billions to throw at the $6million man. DXB can construct a bionic man.
That said: Tadej is other-worldly. Watching him today on the Huez chomping up every single rider on the climb was magical.
Just like Jordan when every human watching knew he would get the ball and every time he would win because he was actually better than everyone else. He was actually playing a different game.
That’s Tadej IMO. He’s playing a different game. Half a million people can’t be wrong. They saw him.

Let’s not forget Mads for the Sprint and Martinez/Carapaz/Kuss on the climb break away. These are exceptional human athletes. Legit human beings whom have won GC stage races.
