1971 FJ40 project - WA State
I started converting this 1971 FJ40 to Chevy running gear... but I cannot finish it. Has a partially installed GM 4.3L V6 (carb) with auto trans and t-case. Just started installing it so you could change back to FJ40 motor if you wanted? Missing stock steering column (was going to put GM one in) and missing drivers stock front seat. Also missing headlight bezel since I put it on my 1967. Otherwise pretty much there. Passenger fender needs replaced. Rear corner glass on the hard top needs new rubber. Asking $1000 obo??? - I have a few trailers so I can haul nearby for fuel costs if needed. I have Land Cruiser 4 speed and transfer case for sale as well in case you would rather do all Toyota?
Looking for a clean FJ40, prefer 1976 to 1982, but will consider earlier years. Don't mind paying for shipping, especially from states that don't salt roads. Would like it primarily rust free and with a 2F, not intrested in SBC. Dosent need to be a museum piece, and I don't mind it needing mechanical, upholstery, wiring or paint work. Just can't do welding or body work though. Drop me a PM, thanks- Don
9/71 fj40 fst - ne fl
SOLD!!! I'm sure you've heard the story; planned to keep it forever, but... 3rd baby on the way meant we needed a 100, and thanks to a fellow MUD member we found a great one. So now we must reluctantly say goodbye to the 40. I bought it as a complete basket case and spent the last eight months getting it to where it is now. Its driven three days a week and every weekend to the beach. It starts, drives, and stops flawlessly. F.5 motor fires within one revolution and pulls hard through all three gears to a cruising speed of 55mph all day long. factory drums all round will easily lock the tires if need be. Parts purchased in the last eight months: New Rough Country 4" full suspension lift Used Ehsan Paki Top New 5 -...

April 3: I have added pics of engine compartment, rusty spots, interior...see posts below.... Reduced price for the rest of May $3600.

Hey All, First post to this forum actually so hey everyone. Looking for an old FJ40. I don't really care what year and such just as long as it runs and the body is not totally destroyed. I am in Ohio so the closer the better. I am also on the verge of buying a 1985 FJ60 so if there is any interest in a trade or anything let me know. My price range would be from around 3000 to anything lower. I know that is not much and I am by no means looking to low ball anyone. Its just what my price range is so take it or leave it. Also if there are any questions about how the FJ60 is let me know. Thanks to all, and glad to be apart of the forum! -Charlie

1977 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser, Low Miles, Excellent Condition
1977 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40, I'm the 2nd owner and have owned her for 14+ years, we drive to soccer games and the mall, only have put 1000 or so miles over the last 14 years, total miles now 64,926. All service (oil change, check-up, etc..) has been done at Toyota of Plano. NEVER been off-road. engine starts-up on 1st crank and runs very smooth, transmission shifts into ALL 4 gears without any problems. I’m looking at selling her because we do not drive it enough and the kids are wanting to get a ski/wakeboarding boat. I will hate to see this car go, however must sell one toy to get the next. Items of interest: - T-Max 9500lbs Winch - 5 excellent condition tires - BF Goodrich 33x12.50 R15 LT - Radial Mud Terrain T/A - Custom...
Hi all: I'm moving to Japan....so rather than let it sit for two years and pay storage I've decided to sell. Please use the ROTW link for details and some pictures. Currently all I have is my cell so if you would like more current pictures or any other details please don't hesitate to call me and I can text any pictures you would like. I'll be in the country until mid June, but I have arranged to have it stored in NM in the next few weeks in case this doesn't pan out. I've put on the new KM2's (33x10.5) and had the valves done within the last 5 or 600 miles. Thanks
My Next Landcruiser...or YOURS? 1973 FJ40 Lifted, Locked and Loaded Resto-Mod $19k An old friend of mine spent many years building up his dream cruiser, building the kind of truck many of us would only build if we were SURE we would never have to sell it. Thousands of hours later, he had one of the finest Landcruisers I have ever seen. But as sometimes happens, life makes other plans, and with much regret, he had to move on. When he called me and told me what he needed in terms of both money and timing, I figured the best way to ensure that he wouldn't take a total beating was to just give him the money and let me worry about the timing. The only problem with that is that i've already got a bad case of MVS, and having this truck around...
