I may sell my 1979 FJ40. It has 56,000 miles on the original motor. I am asking 13,500. It's had a lot of body & tub work with new metal & very little filler. It's recently had a tune up, new clutch, intake manifold repaired to eliminate exhaust leakage. I just put new rims & tires on it. It's always been garage stored & hasn't seen rain or snow since body work has been done. I have a new Toyota emblem for the grill I haven't installed yet. I have the hard top & all doors for it. The doors still need the interior side re painted. The interior of the top needs restored & it has a poorly installed sunroof I plan on replacing with a canvas sunroof. Original 1969 FJ40 with original steel wheels and hub caps. Original F motor with new alternator, new starter, new belts, hoses, heater core, fresh oil and gear lube and trans fluid. No leaks of any kind. New water pump and thermostat. Brakes good, 4 wheel drive low and high work well. Radiator is good and was flushed and new anti-freeze put in. Rust on drivers floor board and rear panel under back door. Drivers floor panel was cut out and a steel plate temporarily sits covering floor on drivers side. Drives and runs good. New Rancho 5000 shocks, new body mount rubbers and new spring bushings. New header, new exhaust and muffler. Would make a great restoration project, I started but have decided to sell my FJ40 and FJ60 to buy a new TRD...

Iv'e been looking at FJ40's for quite awhile and I figured I might as well post and see what I can find. I have a 1987 4Runner with solid axle(IFS Hub widened ), High steer, Elocker Rear, LED from lights, Armor all around, Marlin dual cases, Tire Carrier, 33x12.50. 3in lift. Has Scion TC from seats and factor Inclinometer. Its a great truck and Its currently my daily driver. Concquered the Con 3 times in it and driven to and form the trail each time. 1971 FJ40 in great mechanical condition. New 2F engine, newly installed power steering, 2" lift kit with new wheels and tires. Interior and engine compartment hasve been RhinoLined and original seats have been restored. It does need some bodywork to get it back to prime condition or you can leave it as is and rip up the trails. It has always been garaged.

HAVE a 1977 FJ40 that runs great, 2F and four speed, surface rust of no consequence, weekend driver.
Replaced clutch master and slave cylinders, rebuilt brakes all the way around (including new cylinders on the rear), knuckle ball joints rebuilt, new radiator. 7500 miles on 4 BFG AT 31x10.5 on five 15 inch steel wheels (sandblasted and powdercoated)(fifth wheel has used, but matching BFG AT). Hubcaps. Soft half doors. Hard doors, hard top in good condition. Cruiser has a tailgate installed, but I also have ambulance doors stored. Recovered jump seats in very good condition, have a Con-Fer bench seat in storage. Tuff box between the seats, but have original console as well. Lap and should belts up front. Aftermarket dash...

I have three Landcruisers, 75 FJ40, 87 FJ60 and 94 FZJ80, and need to sell one. I have had the 60 for twenty years, and just can't let her go. The 80 is locked and gets down the road, so the 40 it is.
There is a little rust on the body, but none on the frame. A PO painted it tan and it doesn't look great, but I didn't care. It was originally Mustard Yellow. The 2F engine is great though a PO put headers on it so it runs cold when first started. It has a new Aisin carb, new toyota master cylinder (which was only on the 75 FJ40 through 9/75), new exhaust and muffler, new 12,000lb winch and new Ironman suspension with a 2" lift and greasable shackles.
When I got it it had some seats out of a car, so I found original seats and had new...

Looking for a solid body, reliable, daily driver FJ40 little or no rust, does not have to be stock, but would like to have something that will travel at least 65 on the freeway, I don't mind driving to pick it up...made 2 16 hour trips just to be lied to already:bang:. 1973 fj40 project truck, 1F engine and three speed transmission. Does not run. Front disc brake conversion with newer master cyclinder. Engine has some newer parts but has been pulled apart and repainted. Wire harness has been removed, but I have a used replacement. No seats but have all the brackets. I do have the rear jump seats which are not bolted in along with the roll bar. No glass in the windshield, but I do have the glass. Tub in pretty good shape it has been patched quite a bit, but the outer skin looks good. The floor has been coated with bed liner. Have a bunch of loose parts that go with the truck. No top.

1975 FJ40 "basket case". Was a complete vehicle brought back from Colorado to Michigan. Has some surface rust but very little "rot". The frame is in very solid condition as well as most of the body panels, ambulance doors, side doors and tub. Some small rust spots in the common areas but not bad at all. Rust in the pictures is mostly all surface. It was running when I purchased it with the v8 350 conversion mated to the 4 spd stock trans and xfer case. Also had dual flowmaster exhaust on it. I took it apart with aspirations to resotre it and its been about 7 years. Time to let it go to someone who will do something with it. Everything is there. It has been on pallets tarped off behind my barn and the engine and drivetrain...
