I thought I'd throw this on here before posting on ebay...give me a call with any questions at 623-262-2894....great rig, just have too many projects and not nearly enough time. I drive it on the weekends all the time, runs flawlessly and looks great! I'm asking $9500 obo and I'm located in Phoenix, AZ area. Let me know if you want to see any particular detail pics as well...I'm sure I'll keep updating pics.
1973 Toyota FJ40 “Survivor”!
This FJ40 has spent it’s entire life between Arizona and Southern Utah and is a very unique survivor. It has only very minor surface rust in the rear sill area and one small surface spot starting right behind the door…VERY solid, unrestored condition. It was repainted about 10 years ago according to the previous owner, who is an elderly gentlemen who stored it indoors at his Southern Utah cabin for the past 30 years. It is an original AZ vehicle, and other than being stored at his cabin, it spent its operating life in AZ and has never lived in anything resembling inclement weather.
The interior of the vehicle is in amazing unrestored condition as well, everything is there including factory rear heat that works great, seats are like new and in completely unrestored condition including the rear jump seats.
It has, of course, the original and correct F engine with 141k original miles...never rebuilt and running great along with the factory 3 spd. Trans. It runs flawlessly and makes no noise, doesn’t smoke, etc. It currently has a very minor oil pan leak that is a simple fix with an inexpensive gasket of course. This FJ40 drives flawlessly, I would seriously drive it absolutely anywhere. The transfer case shifts perfectly, 4wd works of course, and locking hubs operate as new.
This vehicle is an amazingly solid survivor that is a perfect driver currently and could be a showpiece with very little effort. Once again, it runs and drives great, looks very good, and is ready to make any road trips you’d like to take it on as it sits right now!

Once again, give me a call with any questions and I'll snap some more detail pics in the garage tonight.

Also forgot to mention it has the factory under seat gas tank as well as a 20 gal. dealer installed aux. tank...gauges and lights all work perfectly, etc.

Congrats and good luck with the sale!

Updated ad with mileage...showing 41k miles, but is 141k actual...runs great! I'll also try to get more detail pics as soon as I get a chance as well.

Here's a link to a bunch of detail pics...I tried to point out all the flaws...definitely ask any question you may have. As I said, the only rust on the Cruiser is the rear sill and one spot behind the passenger door other than very minor surface around hinges, etc...the undercarriage has very little surface rust and no "rot" anywhere at all. I wanted to give an accurate representation of exactly what was going on, I plan to do a little "detail" work this weekend that I'm sure will make it "appear" even better before listing it on Ebay.
