Stock other than motor. All solid very litte rust. Hard top. stock roll bar
350 is a crate motor from chevy that was installed several years ago but only has about 1,000 miles on it. Runs a drives.
New Master cylinder with drum brakes all around.
Top and sides removed but I have everything.
Also have a full set of wheels (5) 15 x 9.
I have been wanting to build this old girl for a long time but just don't have the time or the money to accomplish what I want so I thought I would throw it up and see.
She is not pretty but is all there. Has a rear brake cylinder that is sticky but shw will still run and drive fine.

I need to sell this Land Cruiser because I inherited a jeep - am getting older - and don’t use it. Also because it has burned out two ignition modules and I cannot find a mechanic on Martha’s Vineyard who can ID the problem. I just don’t have time or patience for it anymore.

I am now cruiser-less for the first time since 1978 - vehicle sold yesterday
I am the original owner of this vehicle. It was my daily driver for almost 20 years, but has been in "retirement" since then. I am guessing it has around 250K miles on it, the odometer quit at 85K and I never fixed it (speedometer works fine).
1981 FJ-40s have factory power front disc brakes and power steering. I had the dealer install air conditioning when purchased. Also had locking hubs (Warn) installed at that time.
The frame-on restoration was done in 1999/2000. Everything removed from the tub (that could be), sandblasted and repainted. Tub and frame were sandblasted or hand stripped and re-primed/painted. Paint was a close...

I have a 1967 FJ40 for sale. I have owned it for almost four years now and since, put a lot of work into it, but sadly, I just don’t have to time anymore to tinker around with it.

I can't see keeping both of my cruisers and always neglecting one of them.... so I decided to keep my '71 FJ40 and sell the '78. the '78 has approx 110,000 miles on her. It has a strong running 2f with a new Trollhole carb( works fabulously), a stainless header and a new fuel pump and steel fuel tank from CCOT. This FJ40 has 5 new 6 spoke FJ rims from CCOT and 5 new BFG 33x9.50x15 All-Terrain Tires. Both the front and rear heaters are removed and are being repainted, rear jumpseats are removed also and have been wire wheeled but not repainted yet. The front seats are in great condition. Sadly as my wife is losing her job and going back to college I must sell my FJ40 to help out. I have owned it for the last three years and bought it in Montana.
It is a clean rig and would be great for a restoration project as it has very little rust compared to most I have seen.
It has Alcan springs with an about 2" lift over stock, New Greaseable Tri-shackles Front and Back, New U-Bolt Flip all around, New disc brake conversion with disc brakes front and rear, Center arm rebuilt this year, New Tie Rod Ends.

Didn't have a chance to wash it and our road is a little muddy rite now so the pics don't do the paint justice. I'm thinking about getting rid of it because my wife and I just had a baby and now I need a more family oriented rig. Also included will be the NP205 SM465 combo, good flywheel, good clutch. The np205 is dissasembled rite now because I am going to rebuild it, clean it, paint etc. The transfer case is in great shape and I am regreting taking it apart because it would have lasted a long time with no attention OH Well. Hard to find, super sharp diesel Land Cruiser. 4 speed manual. Well taken care of and in excellent shape. Is in Costa Rica now but I will be shipping this vehicle to Orlando if no buyer is found in the next couple of weeks.

The frame is ratty but spring perches solid. The floor of the tub is typical midwest rot but relatively solid. New quarters a few years back.
No hard-top. Soft top only.
No Passenger seat.
Wiring harness rebuilt but not connected--recommend new one/painless system.
Low miles on BFG 33x12.50's, Skyjacker 4", etc.

Bought a 93 80 in mint condition and the 40 has to go. NEW PRICE 6,500.00
I have a new baby so the 40 must be replaced with a 62 or an 80 series, so if you have one you want to trade I am interested. My rig has an aluminum tub and no rust. The guy a bought it from put a 75 hood on it and a pre-75 windshield. I have the wiper motors and they work but they are not on the frame. The firewall forward is all 79 with the exception of the two items I listed. Also the odometer is stuck at 59K which is where it was when I bought 2 years ago. I use it primarily as a beach buggy and to haul my boat in and out of the water. There is some surface rust on the frame only, and very little of that. Here are some of the things I've done.

It has original motor and transmission with 83000 miles on it. Motor is very strong and runs great. This is not far from a full restoration vehicle. It has a new tub, new HFS suspension and springs. They were bought from COOLCRUISERS.COM - Toyota Land Cruiser Parts & Restoration The frame has been galvanized. Saginaw power steering. The right rear ambulance door needs attention, it has the typical rust at the bottom. I also have a rear tailgate for when you take the top off. Would like to sell my rig,it has the aluminum tub,soft top,and safari top. Has about 130,00 miles on it. New in the last year,head,dizzy(mallery duel points,) alternator,starter,voltage reg. It has 35s on it which need help. This rig runs great,also has new rotors and front brakes. Paint is ok,back is much better then the front.Had some rust in both fenders where you see the patch,some pitting in the lower windshield and sum rust above the kick vents.
