I have an FJ40 rolling chassis with f145 motor, 3 speed, and all other drivetrain. The tub needs help as seen in pix (has had some previous rust repair and the drivers floor was taken out) and the front clip is missing. I have a donor tub you can have with it for a couple hundred dollars or so to steal the floor out of it, or I have a better tub for sale for $800 if someone wants to make a deal on the roller and tub.

Selling a very nice FJ40 for a friend to settle an estate. This truck was the pride and joy of her partner who died suddenly last year. He had Cruiser Solutions in New Hampshire find a restorable 1980 FJ40 for him in January 2006. Invoice shows they charged $2500 for the truck. Subsequent invoices from Cruiser Solutions total more than $55K, yes that's correct. The invoices cover a wide gamut of new parts and work done to the truck, and I have a copy of all the receipts. Looks like the last receipt was dated November 2007 so I assume that's about the time Joe took posession of his 40. I Just acquired another project so this one needs to go, hopefully to another ih8mud member.
I am keeping the carb,top,doors,hatch,front side emblems, and lower dash pad for the 40 that I recently purchased. The rest is yours for $2500 (exactly what I paid for my new project). Comes with builder f motor and is complete, minus the stuff listed above. Passenger side front frame is slightly bent as shown in front of forward crossmember, the rest is straight and in great shape. A good friend of mine drove this daily until he attempted to rebuild the engine after a rod knock. I have owned it for 6 years while very slowly building a 2f for it on a limited budget. I am selling a resto-mod 73 FJ40 for $13,000.
It is located in Ridgefield, WA. which is near Vancouver, WA or Portland, OR.
This vehicle is built up for off-roading.
Frame off restoration
Frame was sandblasted, cleaned up, and sealed with POR 15
Body was sandblasted, sanded, primed, and painted with 2 part paints.
Driver kick/rocker panel was replaced/rebuilt
Rear door sill replace/rebuilt.
Tub lined with sprayin bed liner.
Paint is about 5 years old now, some small surface rust beginning to start, but frame and body is rust free.
Soft top is the only top I have. Its in decent shape and still serviceable.

I am putting up for sale my 1974 FJ40 Land Cruiser. I purchased from a fellow IH8MUD member Bsquared a little over 3 years ago. Bsquared did the high majority of the resto-mod and has kindly agreed to help answer any build questions you may have that I might not be able to answer.
This resto-mod was a complete frame off project. The body has not been updated or painted over that beautiful patina. Here is a list of the updates:
The engine is a donor from a 2002 Silverado Extended Cab Truck.
5.3L 285hp Vortec V8 (LM7)
Saginaw Power Steering conversion kit.
Front and rear axles were replaced from an FJ60. So now the front brakes are disk and the rears are drum. Installed new rotors on the front axle.

Selling my 1972 FJ 40. I bought it a year ago and just don't have the time to make good use of it. I hate to see it sit. I don't know much about its history. It has what looks to be the original motor along with a 4 speed. The front end is tight so I assume the steering box has been rebuilt. I don't get any play in the steering wheel. The steering shaft looks to be the upgraded version. The FJ has been repainted and ii can see signs of body filler at the bottom of the passenger doors and around the back end. When looking under the vehicle, I don't see any signs of rusting through the body - so maybe it is surface rust? Interior floor has red bedliner sprayed in. She runs and drives good.
