What have you done to your Land Cruiser this week?

I can’t do much of anything with any of my trucks at the moment due to Uncle Sam obligations, but while at home over the weekend doing yard work I noticed that my spare 40 frame was getting sucked into the ground.

Before finishing a young chicken enclosure behind my barn I grabbed some old steel wheels and propped the frame up.

Sure thing.

Length is an easy fit. The feet on the long sides are exactly the same width as the raised edges of the tray. I’ll probably throw some wood under it to keep it steady.
Looks like that battery fits the bill. As long as the flange on the fire wall clears. I had to slot the mounting plate to clear the turbo.

@POPO AGIE You guys married some really good women… your wife fills the tractor, @greenbeast wife got a trailered sprayer for her birthday a few yrs ago. This is great… I married a Vermont dairy farm girl who can used to help me build stuff here in the woods and then discovered the mall and Amazon. 🙄. Sheesh
My Wife has to be self reliant because of my job. Also once she figures out how to do something she doesn't want me to to that task anymore. As long as the mower is attached to the tractor she will mow if needed or plow snow in the winter if I am gone she cant hook up the different implements to the 3 point hitch. Otherwise she would not be able to get the mail or get to town.

I just have things set up before I head to the job and she takes care of the rest.

Took a plethora of photos revealing all the newly discovered “opportunities”. Otherwise still in the planning (learning WTH we’ve gotten ourselves into) stages while we seek a 2F and accumulate some fundage.

It looks like you gotta a lot of work ahead you. You might consider starting a Build Thread. Your posts and pics will get lost in here.

What does a 2F go for these days? If I had my engine swap lined up I'd offer to sell you mine. There was one listed on marketplace near me but they're asking $2,500.

Replaced the speedocable my old one was like this and bought a new one 20 years ago to replace it … just got around to doing it now … I am that PO lol

Once I put it all back … I cleaned the cluster … repainted the bezel on the cluster … was a bout to take it for a drive and I saw this :(

Back apart and now corrected :meh:

One of the rear wheel cylinders went and decided to dump a bunch of brake fluid over my driveway. Also the gasket between the transmission and transfer case isn't gasketing anymore. Pulled it in to tear everything down. One quick victory is new factory steelies and tall & skinny 33"s.

Enjoying it now that it actually runs and drives. I got the Koito H4 kit, 81110-60P70, and threw that it. My terminals were aftermarket/mangled so I cut those off and redid the ends of my wires. Engine bay is kind of a mess but it'll do for now.

Also update to my jank intake setup. An air cleaner popped up on classifieds so I got and threw that on. Not happy with how close the soft fuel line is with the air horn so bit the bullet and ordered a new hard line from redline cruisers.

Appreciate that! We missed a running one on here from DAVE54000 for $1400 by one day. On eBay it seems rebuildables are going for a grand, NOT counting shipping. There are several we’d like to have but are just too far away.

Digging the look of those 33's on the stock steelies. Do you have a lift?

Tempted to do 31 or 33s, but I don't think I'll be able to get mine in the garage once I do.

Thanks for the heads up! There’s an extensive labyrinth of knowledge here! We’re just figuring out our way around.
Just tossing this out but I shipped a 2F engine and shipped a transmission/transfer case from NJ to Georgia and Florida using FASTENAL Blue Line Freight. A simple drop off for me in my pickup around $200 each. They did the rest and each was received within 3 days…Something to keep in mind, in case
