1975 FJ40 FST Southern Calif Truck.
Price: $8000
18,1xx miles currently. The previous owner (whose a well known LC specialist in LA) had this work done just before he sold it to me: Professionally rebuilt carb, transfer case, 4spd trans, all new brakes (4 wheel drum) including brake booster, MC, etc., New Downey springs (4") Bilstein shocks. new MOR shackles, etc, new 12x33x15 BFGs. New Downey bumpers. Gas tank replaced. Has a strong 2F engine, compression test all cylinders above 145 psi. No Smog since it's 1975 and older. This Landcruiser is all stock.
Since I purchased the truck over 2 years ago, I purchased new front tires, BFG all terrains which has less than 1000 miles, I replaced the battery with a Optima Batteries 8025-160 25 RedTop Starting Battery in March 2016 and I gave it an oil change with Shell Rotella. I've put almost no mileage on it in 2 years, other than a once-a-month trip around the block with 4wd engagement to keep everything lubed. I purchased this truck 2.5 years ago hoping to work on it when I had time, but time seemed to have eluded me as my son was born a few months before I purchased this rig. I know I will own another LC one day, it's time to let go of this truck for someone else.
Some history about the truck, it was originally purchased by Disney Studios as a camera truck. I have an old DMV registration when it was owned by the Walt Disney studios.
It's a FST, but no top or bows with it. Has new OCD Bikini marine canvas top. Drop-down tailgate. Comes with newer style HALF-CUT DOORS (not shown) that need to be finished (welding, paint, etc.) and some vinyl half doors. Always been a Calif truck so very very minimal rust, just a spot on the rear sill, under the 4wd emblem. Truck was originally owned by Disney studios as a camera truck, so mileage is low. The things hanging off the frame in the bottom pic are camera mounts. At some point years ago, Disney resprayed it flat green over the original yellow for some movie. Green is now peeling. Needs paint and some general body work. QUARTERS & FENDERS NOT CUT ! Great truck for project resto-mod or ready to go as a trail rig. I have all the ventilation ducting.
Please send me any questions about the truck.
Thank you,
David
