For Sale 1976 FJ-40 with 1955 M100 trailer

Finally thinking of giving up my 1976 FJ-40 along with a matching 1955 Canadian M100 trailer with hard top lid. Has ARB bumper, Warn winch, electronic ignition, headers,weber carb (have original as well), power steering and brakes, Old Man Emu suspension with lift (2.5" I believe), snorkel, bikini top and tailgate, soft car cover and probably a few other add ons. Missing the cigarette ashtray which was stolen 3 weeks ago (who steals an ashtray?). Mechanicaly the car is very sound (thanks to the invaluable contributions from the many menbers on this site). The body is solid, just some surface rust in a few places as I had it out past the first snowfall last year, but easy repaint to get it perfect again. I am offering it up here before I go the e-bay, kijiji, auto trader route, and asking $18000 CDN ($14000 US) for the pair.

How do you bring a car from Canada into US?

Drive across border with bill of sale and a valid Canadian vehicle registration with $2500 in cash for customs and homeland security fees, etc. and you are in. Once in you will need various local and state inspections as required by DMV. If you need additional info your local DMV has it all.

exactly - pretty simple. A broker will take care of all the paperwork for a fee to if you prefer to ship it instead of picking it up.

I agree, pretty simple, didn't cost me anywhere near $2500. More like around $400 for the broker who took care of everything.

I would consider - but currently there is alot of interest in the combo so if possible I would like to sell them as a pair.

Thanks - I think it's a very fair price for the set - I've had a few people here message me and tell me it's too low, but while it is super solid, it's not a show car either.

Did you ship or pick up? Talking with a few shippers here for some interested parties in the US but am open to recommendations.
