Well, never expected this. Wife lost her job and car #4 has to go. I haven't even driven it 200 miles. July 1969 build date. I bought it back in November off the boards here. Great seller who kept this at his cabin on the western side of the Sierra's (dry!). He had it for 21 or 22 years? When he got it, it had just been repainted the factory color (Spring Green) so he reassembled the rest of it and then used it for the next couple decades. Its a great truck and I thought I would keep it for a long time, but circumstances changed. I have started the process with BaT knowing that takes at least 4 weeks. If it sells here first, awesome. 1974 Toyota FJ40 that has spent the bulk of its life in the Southwest. I’ve owned the truck for about 7 years. When I purchased it from Kanab, UT, it had a small block chevy motor and a Ranger 2 speed overdrive adapted to the stock Toyota 4 speed. After about a year or so, I removed the small block and Ranger and purchased a rusted out 1984 Toyota FJ60 for a parts doner to put the drivetrain back to an original style. That truck had about 285,000 miles on the odo. At the time the motor leaked from every seal and gasket but started and ran. I removed the motor, eliminated all of the smog garbage, degreased and cleaned, purchased a new reproduction de-smogged carb from Tollhole, inspected rod and main bearings, bores etc, and resealed...

Selling a running 69 FJ40 factory soft top model that comes with the factory pto winch setup. The truck starts right up and drives & brakes good. The dash is all original and hasn’t been cut or drilled into. The front and rear seats were reupholstered at one point and still are in good shape. The rear floor and one wheel well were replaced with new metal as well. Everything on the truck is mostly original except the Weber carb, electric fuel pump and that they converted it from a column shifter to a floor shifter. Previous owner disassembled it and most of the parts are there with a few exceptions. No front seats and no drivetrain. I do have the transmission and transfer case for it but condition is unknown. The rear jump seats are there and the gauge cluster is also there. There is new body mounts but the body is not bolted to the frame. There is a radiator support and battery tray and fan shroud.
