NE Tucson spotting:

Saw what looked to be a 03-05 LX in GGM with a dissent (?) front bumper, a mild lift and Tundra 18s at about Soldier Trl and Rodger today.

Anyone here? If so, good looking rig and we're neighbors.

There are two homes off of 87th st between Indian School and Osborn in Scottsdale that I have seen some Land Cruisers in front of. One house has a nice 40 in the driveway sometimes, along with some other Toyota 4x4s. I have yet to see anyone outside when I drive by, or else I would have stopped and introduced myself. Anyway, if either of you see this, I live a couple blocks away and am in the silver 200 series and or the guy walking the giant English Mastiff.

lol Cubsen7 Cool Cruiser with the Barn doors!! Those are called Troopy's as well right? Thought 45's were the truck version?

From what I remember, so I could be wrong, the 45 is both the troopy and the truck. 45 is just the designation for the long wheel base models.

Correct.

Mid 65 to 9/67. Most likely a V8 conversion. Also guessing a repaint since the holes where the missing reflectors would go have been filled in as well as the outside air intake for the heater and pop out vent in the cowl are a different color.

Just the odd's? or something you spotted?
Like I say, I am old but still like to learn something new everyday. ;)

The exhaust pipe coming out the rear right side. That started 1/75. Couldn't see why someone would reroute the exhaust to the opposite it leaves the engine. Why Toyota added a huge muffler behind the rear axle in 75 may have been for small increase in engine size. In this case the fill for the auxiliary gas tank would prevent the exhaust being routed across the back. Could be a B engine added since those exhaust on the right side but odds are it's a V8.

I routed the exhaust from my original 1F out the passenger side because I hated smelling exhaust at slow speeds. It crosses diagonally where the Confer tank used to sit.

Much nicer for me - and the passengers can hold their noses 👃
