New owner here- picked up a 1958 in black for my wife! Love it since the first test drive, coming from a 2016 Sequoia SR5.

Well produced video. He seems to prefer the Lexus variant of the 250
To each his own I guess. Glad Toyota offers both.

Lots of unbiased truth telling there.with varying degres of satisfaction right?
Stuff like this is why I typically think a used Toyota is a bad buy. They just don't depreciate enough to make it worthwhile over buying brand new.View attachment 3885256
I dont know in what world someone would buy the above when you could have a NEW LC250 1958 with a lifetime powertrain warranty.
I truely think all the hate on the 250 is from 200 owners throwing mud on the new guy (dispite the new guy looking WAY better)
Thing looks like a bloated Highlander. With 100,000 miles for $52k...no effing way. YMMV.View attachment 3885256

This guy judged to quick and he never owned a 250 Land Cruiser he's just a view chaser. Anyway, those in the background lurking here watch the video above this one it's from an actual 250 owner not someone looking for clicks. here's the link again.
Well, looks are subjective. I, for one, happen to think the 200 looks WAY better than the 250Prado.I truely think all the hate on the 250 is from 200 owners throwing mud on the new guy (dispite the new guy looking WAY better)
Subjectively, you can take you style opinions and go buy as many glorified Grocery Getters as you want! Please leave the 250s to us offroaders and overlanders!Well, looks are subjective. I, for one, happen to think the 200 looks WAY better than the 250Prado.
You are correct. Perhapse i shouldent compare the soccer mom car with the 2025 Light Duty Land CruiserTo your point though, IMO the hate comes from people comparing the two (like you are doing) when they are not comparable vehicles. There is a reason for a used vehicle with 100kmiles having an asking price (and selling for) close to a brand new one. They are simply not is the same category.
This is not a good comparison. the M5 and 5series are the same vehicle marketed to people with different wallet sizes. They serve the same purpose but one is fancy and fast and the other is not. Both are used to move upper mid-level managers and corporate execs from their homes in the suburbs to their finance jobs in the city.It is like comparing an M5 with a 5series. Imagine if 5 years ago people started to compare the 200 with the 5th gen 4Runner. You would laugh and for good reason. That is basically the same as comparing the 200 with the 250.
I knew this would strike a nerve.Subjectively, you can take you style opinions and go buy as many glorified Grocery Getters as you want! Please leave the 250s to us offroaders and overlanders!

You seem confused here. Maybe the nerves are getting into you. That being said, it is very fair to compare different vehicles.
Hahaha...you surely must be joking or need to find better reading material. Just do a quick search and look for UN and military land cruisers. Then come back here and let us know how many Prados you found as opposed to 200s and 300s.I remember reading somewhere that toyota designed the 250 to get UN contracts in developing countries? The 300 series is their Flagship model. High tech, nice to drive, but ultimately designed for road travel.
I think that one just isn't a very good deal. Pretty hard for me to go buy a $55k LC250 base when you can buy a 46,000 mile LX570 for $56k.View attachment 3885256
