Hey Shawn sorry this is so confusing... product of 10+ years of bright ideas on top of each other perhaps. anyway will do my best to answer here:

Every rack starts as a flat rack. then you can add an optional second bar across the front and along the sides. Expo ends above the front doors, Expo+ above the rear doors, ++ above the rear tires, and +++ wraps around the back. There is a gallery on the 100 series rack page that shows each of them. 100 racks — Gamiviti

Tapered vs. non-tapered refers to the gap between the main flat rack and the Expo bar. when it's non-tapered that generally means that gap is a consistent 1.75" throughout. When it's tapered the gap increases as the rack moves forward, arriving at a 2.75" gap across the front. This matches the body lines a little better on the sides, and provides the additional 1" gap across the front for the light bar.

Exceptions to this would be if someone wanted to run a light bar on a shorter Expo rack, we'd just make it 2.75" and no taper.

And the rack he is using in that traction ramp video is definitely tapered, as are the majority of what we're making now... tapered Expo++ is the most common.
No need to apologize... I think it's awesome you make racks for the 200. And anything cool should have a learning curve. Thank you for the explanation on tapered, it makes perfect sense now. And I see the difference in the +++ on the link you sent to the 100 page. I want one. I need to think through my potential applications to make sure I make the best decisions in ordering. Will p.m. with any specific questions. Thanks Again!!!

Anyone running a fly fishing rod rack/carrier on theirs? If so care to post pics.

Anyone running a Waterport on their rack? Trying to figure out the best way to do it.

Working with Tim on a rack for my 100 series. The Expo++ is what we are going to do with a sunroof opening.

I won’t be installing an RTT. Do you all suggest getting a grid in the rack? I saw a couple posts where people regretted not getting a grid. Looking for any suggestions. Tim has been fantastic btw if anyone is in the market, i can’t recommend him enough.

I got a grid on half my rack and I'm really really happy I did. However, now Tim has these Grid Panels that would work just as well as a grid with much less weight. If I had to do all over again, I would reconsider and possibly get the Grid panels instead of getting the grid welded on.

I did half grid too and I don't regret it. It's perfect for firewood. I would not do full grid though. Just my 2 cents. Tim is awesome!

I went full grid. Other than making it extremely difficult to wash and wax the roof, I'm glad I did it. The grid gives me so many more places to strap stuff down

Thank you all! I will look into the grid panels but seems like at least some grid is the way to go. Have a great Thanksgiving!

I have no experience to comment but fwiw, I ordered grid on the rear for firewood, and left as much open as I could for cleaning.

@wiseinvestor man that looks fantastic... I dig the extra stepping stone plates that you went for, they really turned out cool, hoping you come up with all sorts of uses for those. Thanks again for the support!

Does anyone go through automatic car washes with their Gamiviti rack? I've been only handwashing since I installed my Gamiviti almost a couple years ago. It'd be nice to be able to go through an automatic car wash for convenience some times.

I've done it several times in the past with my Expo up rack. Don't recommend you do that though. Lately, I do to the self car wash and use the power sprayer.

Touchless or one with cloth brushes?

For a setup without a grid like @wiseinvestor has, it would probably be fine. Plenty of people go through with factory racks and don't have issues.

I have a bunch of crap strapped to my rack. Shovel, maxtrax, kayak carriers, rotopax, etc. Since I'm ~7'4" I might consider a touchless car wash if it had at least 8' clearance. Unlikely though with the steel bumper, snorkel, etc. Currently I just go to the manual car wash in the winter to get the salt off, and bribe my kids to do a hand wash/wax in the spring and fall :)

Maybe I'm not creative enough, but this one on the Gamiviti site would be perfect for me:

I have a grid on the back 1/3 of the rack, and we mostly have the car washes with the spinning cloth brushes. Guess I'll stick to the hand washing. Thanks!
