I know I'm gonna get flamed for this one! :flipoff2: Couple of weeks ago, I replaced my 285 75 16 MT/Rs with a set of the Yokes for my 99% hwy driving. These tires are quieter, better rolling resistance and a little bit softer feel due to their load range C. Finally had a chance to take them wheelin at WI and they did surprisingly well. The group consisted off seven vehicles shod with MT/Rs, BFG MTs, SSRs and one other jumbo gumbo mud tires from hell.

I went through water holes about 2' deep with soft sandy bottoms and lots of dirt hills. Hills were dry but not dusty. The muddy areas were somewhat rocky based vs clay so traction was not a problem. On one of the steep hill climbs, I stopped half way and tried to regain traction. This was tough for the tires to get a bite. All four wheels were spinning and the vehicle simply crabbed side to side. This was the only hill that I couldn't restart from a dead stop. However, I succesfully climbed this particular hill several times with decreasing speed on each pass.

I run normally around 35 psi and aired down to 25 psi. The front had no rubbage on full stuff but the rear rubbed a tad on the rear of the rear wheel well. I need to extend my bump stops by two inches to cure this. Amazingly enough the entire tire gets stuffed into the wheel well quite nicely. Front and rear sway bars were connected. 850/860 springs, N73/N74L shocks. Gas mileage improved somewhat. 15 mpg while towing a 1700 lbs popup one time, 14mpg on other times. These values are corrected.

Cost of tire was $125/each from Discount Tires. Showed them a printout from Tirerack at $136/each and they beat it by $11. Mounted them at Gumby's and balanced them at Costco for cheap. Would've done the whole mounting and balancing at Discount but they charge around $50/tire for over size. As of two weeks ago, Costco no longer mounts/balances a "non costco" tire on rims.

That's all I got!
