So, I'll be heading to Australia for three weeks for work during August and September. I'll be in the Newcastle area (is that NSW?) Williamtown RAAF anyway.

No, I won't be bringing anything big back so don't ask ;) no axles, trannies, or engines.

However, I would like to pick up some small items that I can pack with me. I'm looking for a cruiserhead in the area who might be able to pick up some things like big mirrors, an inclinometer, sliding windows, or other decently small items that we didn't get here in the states and hook up for beers and such while I'm there.

Anyone want to hook me up? Or any suggestions on neat-o small stuff to add to my cruiser?

TIA

RredFJ40,
I will be doing the same thing when I go to Japan. :)

Try Michael at privateparts4x4. He sell lotsa 60 stuff and lives west of Sydney. He's a straight up person to buy from and I'm sure he's got some gadgets and doodads for ya!

Go to Ebay Auz and search his name to get an idea of what he's got going on.

P.S. In the flavor of the previous replies, I'd like to place an order for a complete tool kit. Can you deliver to Costa Rica?

When you get there ,buy the the local classified magazine (I cant recall its name) and buy your parts off local cruiserheads, they'll be %30 cheaper than a wrecker.
The big mirrors are rare in oz because they were a $200 option and most just took the standard small type.
There are some high quality aftermarket big mirrors at good parts stores but they are around $90 each.
Sliding windows in good condition are also difficult to get but not impossible. The wreckers have been collecting them and selling them to amercian parts dealers.
Again your best hope will be with local cruiserheads.
Joining outerlimits and 4wd action forums will also be a good step for meeting cruiserheads
Have a good trip;)
