Finally , got out on the interstate and got this bad boy up to 70 mph in 5th gear. I was happy until I realized my steering didn't seem to think kindly of that speed. I came back down to 65 - 67 mph and things felt a little better. I know I need a front axle service and now wonder while I am at it should I replace the tie rod ends..... Rojo felt so much better going 70 mph , then my old BJ40 ever felt going 55 mph. I couldn't stop smiling.

Good lookin shed - can't wait to check out your rig. Pleased to see numerous 70 series in metro Atlanta area. Looking forward to adding one of my own to the mix.![]()
There are three 70 Series in S.W. Georgia. How many are in the Atlanta area?![]()
Good question. There are the obvious trucks owned by mud posters and TLCA members, but I have encountered a couple 70 owners that have no association or exposure in the TLCA or mud community. It would be interesting to know and connect with all the local 70 series trucks.
I am a 100 series owner today and am slowly pursuing a 70 currently. I know there are a handful around Atlanta (including suburbs). I hope to join the 70 community soon.
A state registry would be cool.
We could have our first annual "70 Series Owners Association" meeting at a Cracker Barrel on I-75.
If we meet near Warner Robbins, we could get Onur to be the guest speaker.
If it were in the Warner Robbins area, Sam and Beno might be able to attend as eager Toyota OME parts suppliers for our 70 series needs. Plus, they might actually be able to furnish some Toyota swag too. (Sam has gotten a lot of support for GSMTR the last few years via the dealership and the interest may extend beyond a large event)
