I have also been dreading drilling a hole in my arb bumper for the shore power outlet but I finally sent it. I drilled the small holes for the mounting bolts and tapped them rather than use bolts on the back side. We'll see how that holds up - tightened up nice and solid. Decided to install on the drivers side front to decrease likelyhood of driving off without realizing it's plugged in. In the summer months I just leave my fridge running so It's been nice having shore power since I don't drive my 200 every day. However I have found it tends to shut off after about 3 days. Noco thinks the unit might be defective so I may have to swap that out. Always something.

DId you consider mounting shore power connection in one of the bolt-on wings underneath the ARB? More exposed to elements but could pack the connections with dielectric grease.

I wondered about the size of the Noco. My bro had the same setup in his Land Rover and said it kept up with it fine so I ordered the same one. Mathematically it should keep up with the draw, but for whatever reason it shuts off. I contacted Noco about it and they thought it might be faulty.

I do keep the fridge at least half full most of the time and it's parked indoors where it's fairly cool - so it's not working overtime - I don't think. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll have to look into it some more.

Your welcome!

I did, but where we have snow a good part of the year I just worried it was too exposed. Also easier to forget it's plugged in. I deliberated for nearly a year with the parts on my workbench 😂 . I hope I don't regret putting it there. If I do I'll have some awkwardly placed LEDs to cover the hole, ha ha.

If it’s any account mine was in the exact same Location. I never regretted it and did forget to unplug once or twice. But I drove mine daily.

The warn fairlead started looking pretty poor after just 18 months. I never really liked this sidewinder deal either.

So I went with some factor 55 gear. They’re so in right now I figured I’d give it a shot. We’ll see how it holds up. I didn’t feel like their colors went well with my HE so I went with boring gray hoping it would match the fairlead. It’s a bit darker, oh well. Too bad they don’t make a heritage edition bronze prolink. 😂

Fabricated a mount for the ARB pressure control module. No room under the hood without having to run airlines and wire back and forth across the engine bay so decided to mount it behind the grill. Pressure control app works well. Haven’t used it on the trails yet but seems like a decent mod. Install was easy, I spent more time redoing stuff I wanted to clean up than actually installing the module.

Wired up some rock lights, fished wiring through the frame so it’s clean and out of the way. Feels like maybe I need one above each tire pointing outward? Anyone have placement pointers? I’ve never had rock lights but thought they might be handy on the trail runs that go into the night like they sometimes do. I bought these for my 40 2 years ago then decided to restore it. It’s still not running again yet so I figured I may as well get some use outa these.

Saw one of these on the XO guys channel. Thought it was kinda cheesy, but on the other hand I guess useful to draw attention when you’re plugged in and about to depart. I bought it mostly as a joke for my bro, but he said I was influenced by the influencers so…

I mean… the whole purpose for those on aircraft is to be easy to spot before rolling out. Don’t see why it would be any worse for a vehicle that stays on the ground.

Installed the @eimkeith panhard correction bracket. I didn’t realize how much waggle I had until the geometry was realigned. I reinstalled the panhard in the middle hole first which was a big improvement, then moved it to the top hole which is a little better.

It’s been a productive week for 200 mods. Back to working on the 40 now.

Yep, it does work as intended. So far I am glad I mounted the shore power on the drivers side so it’s easier to see.

One thing I’ve never loved after installing the slee bumper is the upper plastic portion of the bumper that is retained on the quarter panels. It just hangs there flimsy like and doesn’t quite look right with an uneven gap since it’s not attached to anything. Could potentially be a rattle point as it makes contact with the black plastic vent behind?

IMG_3190.jpeg

I decided to try some closed cell foam on that outer side of the vent where there aren’t any holes.

It closed up that gap pretty good which looks nicer. It also feels a little nicer being more supported if you happen to lean up against it. Any reason this might be a bad idea? Silly little mod, but it’s been bugging me a little.

Got to use some of my recent mods on a quick trip to the San Juans. As usual the mountains did not disappoint. The 200 is an amazing machine. Poughkeepsie, Corkscrew, Imogene, Ophir and US Basin this time. Mrs loved it as I knew she would.

I did the same with the Noco outlet, but didn't want a hole in my bumper. It's so convenient having that for charging the AGM. Did you also mount the Genius 2D under the hood somewhere?

I put the NOCO in upper left corner using the Slee auxiliary bracket
I missed @residualboulders other picture. I see it on the auxiliary bracket also. Thanks.
