I am in search of the wire block out of the tailgate that all the wires hook up to for my 72. It is about 4-5 inches long and about 3/4 of an inch wide and has 4 or five places you screw the wire ends to. It is easily accesible and mine is rotten in half! Just wondering if there is a spare out there. Kind of pricey at SOR.

Thanks for the info...that is crazy! My block is burnt up in the same place all those other ones are on that thread! Interesting! Maybe that is why my window will not roll down with the key from the TG.

I love this place!

I discovered that my block is toast and now I find I can still get them from Toyota?!?

Too Cool!

Mine was toast as well, but after a quick trip to the local carquest I had a new one in my hand. No, it's not the same as the factory, but it and my rear window now work. This one is plastic and has 5 sets of screws on it. Cost was the best part, free.

Jeez, I just threw away mine last week. Was working fine, just didn't think anyone would need it.

Neat, original from Toyota. I just used a generic one from Radioshack.

Most things OEM are better...but not in this case. Go to Carquest or Radio Shack, as mentioned, or to NAPA as I did and get one made of heavier and better material. Sorry I don't have the part number, it went with the pig I sold. But I believe the replacement block I got was originally for some GM product. Take your pieces to the parts counter and they'll figure it out. Only you and the parts person will know you blasphemed. He/she won't tell if you don't. At least you'll have one part in your tailgate you won't have to continually screw around with.
