WTB FJ60- No Rust/ Original Drivetrain

Looking for an FJ60/62- Stock to midly built. OME Suspension would be a huge plus. Needs to have Toyota drivetrain. Not interested in any sprung over trucks with v8 swaps etc. No rust/major dents etc. Looking for something in solid mechanical shape, a few minor issues ok. No Rust!

High mileage ok as long as mechanicals are good.

Located in Memphis, TN. But will make arrangements for out of town vehicle, location is not that crucial as long as seller is willing to work with me.

Several others listed here as well, although they seem to be on the wrong side of the Mississippi. "No rust" and East Coast cruisers aren't real common (except mine of course).

i have a fj60 with exactly what u described that you desire, i have picks and i dont have to sell but i couldnt beleive my eyes when it was 100% what u described u wanted how can i send u pics of it....
i drove it to college daily 6 months ago, untill the fuel pump went out....

There are some really nice cruisers around the Northern Nevada/California, east Oregon, and Idaho areas. If its Northern Nevada you will have to look really hard to find anything beyond surface rust.

Also if it's north NV or close enough for me to get to, I can drive it to you for cost of fuel and a small fee (assuming its road worthy). I have no job and love road trips. Clean driving record, drug free. This goes out to anyone on the East coast who wants a West coast vehicle. (yes, I am serious)

s.cal freeway easy miles....oh + all Maintance from toy dealers only .(my dad is such a perfectionest that he went by the owners manual on all service intervals too)

Wrangler Tires. 4,000 miles on them.
Remanufactured Bosch Alternator (June 2009)
Thermostat (Jan 2009)
Power Steering Pump (June 2006)
Clutch (April 2006)
Clutch slave cylinder (Jan 2006)

Had the car since Nov of 2005. It had 130k on it and has been driven gently 12 miles a day 5 days a week since.

Oil pan leaks at a rate of about half a quart every 2 weeks.

Much slower leak on transfer case.

Original upholstry in great condition. Carpet in cargo area is frayed and not in good condition.

Small quarter-sized rust spots on the outside of wheel well and left corner of back window.

Drivers side window does not roll up without lifting it with your hands.

One audio speaker is not working but comes on sometime.


Passed CA smog 2 years ago then failed. Needs carb rebuilt to pass Ca emissions and smog pump. Smog pump is de-veined and does not operate for emissions, it is being used as tensioner for the belt that turns the fan and water pump.

I love this truck and if it wasn't for the smog thing I would drive it for at least 5 years more.
