1970 Toyota FJ40 - v8 swapped
Yes I know it’s not original, but if you’ve driven or tried to stop an original fj40 above 40 mph, you know that original isn’t always the best.
- mildly built 350 w/ 4 bolt mains and aluminum heads - arp top end hardware - crane roller rockers - aluminum dual plane intake. FiTech EFI, edelbrock efi sump & aeromotive external fuel pump. Oversized aluminum radiator & electric fan. 2-2.5” single exhaust with flowmaster muffler.
- sm465 4 speed w/granny gear. Gone through with new shift forks & centerforce clutch.
- fiberglass tub & front fenders. The rest is original steel. Some paint chips on body and slight bubbling on one of the rear barn doors. Paint is in overall good condition and shows very nicely.
- frame fully por15 coated - new suspension w/ small lift (2.5” suspension lift & 1” body lift)- and Fox shocks - 4 wheel power disc brakes (Wilwood fronts & gm rears) - rebuilt hubs.
- original Toyota transfer case with drum parking brake - rebuilt.
- custom made bikini top & trail cover
Transferable registration in my name
Moved it to storage in our second property in Pa (outside Scranton) so showings can be arranged on weekends only.

1968 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40. Both Hard and Soft Top. 350 V-8, Turbo 350 Auto Trans. This is a great running and driving solid FJ but still kind of a project to finish how you like. Winch, heater, wiper, lights everything works but speedometer not hooked up and blinkers don't always work. Body is pretty straight and solid there is some rust down low on rear under tail gate - Shown in pictures. Tube rear bumper and extra doors, Newer soft top, Hard top is correct for year but purchased separate so is not same color but is good and solid. 4" lift with like new 35" tires and matching spare, new shocks and front end alignment. Motor is not suppose to have more then 10,000 miles but have no records for that. It was taken to mechanic before we got it and had $700 spent on tune up, Carb rebuilt and just going thru checking all mechanicals, so it runs and drives great. Have a folder of receipt but not for everything that has been done. # B-1826 $25,900

1978 Toyota Fj40 Land Cruiser
$18,500Selling the 78 FJ40. We were trying to hang on to it but It’s better to sell it than let it sit around. Doesn’t get driven much anymore. The body and chassis are rust free, being a Arizona and Texas vehicle has saved it from being a rust bucket. It has a 69 model Chevy 350 and a Th350 transmission. Freshly rebuilt carburetor. Recent tune up. The 4wd works great. Brand new Rancho 9000 shocks and steering stabilizer. Has power steering, power front disc brakes. Heater works great, It’s a really cool vehicle that gets a lot of attention and the value of these are just increasing. 18,500. Texas title in our name. Located in Midland. No trades. FJ's of this caliber go for well over $100K finished.
Basically it needs brake lines connected, fuel injection system connected, and wiring run.
Possible trade up/down for car, truck, motorcycle or RV. (No boats and NO PROJECTS

Frame off restomod just completed with a rebuilt 350 V8 with Sniper fuel injection, TH350 Automatic transmission and due to the bigger engine and bigger wheels and tires, a new Orion upgraded transfer case and twin shifters from BTB products were just added at a cost of $6800. (No more whine or future problems)
Frame and axles sandblasted and painted with Upol satin black frame paint. Sand blasted underside of body and coated with Rhino tuffcoat. Coated interior of body with Rapter bedliner Body primered and painted with 3 coated of Silver rush paint and clearcoat. Replaced tailga with Barndoor style, added new painted custom dashboard and front fenders. All new body mounts. Gas tank cleaned and reinstalled. Replaced all belts on engine, rear pinion and axle seals. Added new stainless steel exhaut system, Flaming river tilt steering column and new steering wheel and horn. All new wiring harness.
Installed new door handles and mechanisms, custom roll bar, power steering, power brakes, and steering stabilizer and new disc brakes. Added battery tender, electric heater under dash, new Dakota VHX instument cluster in dash along with new Pioneer AM/FM CD Stereo mounted in glovebox with new waterproof detachable speakers behind front seats and new antenna.
Installed Rough Country 4" suspension lift, new BTB Produsts front bumper, shackles and D rings front and rear with new 2" receiver hitch and wiring. New tail lights and front KC lites and parking lights. Replaced side mirrors so doors could be removed. Added custom license plate bracket and lights, chrome hood vent, fire extinguisher, bikini top, never used, new storage cover, and color matching full steel doors. .
Installed new Warn #8274, 9000 lbs. winch, ($3500), 4 brand new ICON 16X10 gloss black wheels with 4 new NITTO Trail Grabber M/T 285/70R16 Tires.
