Alex and I will be taking the front end off the 40 and start the cut and turn. For those of you who would like to hang out and watch or help come on. I'll have BBQ as usual. And if you need some advise or need a hand on fixing something we will give a hand.

BYOB Alex! :flipoff2:

This is getting to be a monthly thing.

Update on todays activities at JP's and Alex's. Heck today was all cruiserdom. And I still have the wrenching going on tomorrow. Went and hung out with JP and Matt today doing a knuckle rebuild on Jp's 62. It was an eventful trip. The way JP works on his vehicle is really a sight to behold. I'll post pics Monday. Progress was made but the PO screwed us up. And the lack of tools and me comming up with ways around our handicaps taxed my brain. We used a BF Axe for a hammer! I will give JP an A for effort and we would have gotten everything done but the PO banged up the one of the areas where a bearing seal needed to go so all was stopped half way through assembly. I have Jp's rotor in the back of my car to be dremeled tomorrow.

Stopped by ALex's on the way back and he was having trouble with his lights on his 40. Converting wiring on a 71 steering column to a 79 steering column was not as easy as it seemed. BUt after looking at the wiring diagrams we got things in order and Alex was back on track.

Had a great time with everyone.

So on to tomorrow. :D

Finally someone to back me up when I say JP doesnt think about it and just jumps in sometimes. Why would you use an axe though? There is a 5lb short handle sledge on my side of the garage. Also a dremel with a lot of bits. Good luck with your cut and turn Marshal.

That would of been great to know yesterday!!!!! sorry i couldn't make it today. I hope everything worked out for ya Jp. See ya'll in a few weeks.

Matt

Richard when I walkrd into your side of the garage I felt as if I were in a junkyard at night with only moonlight. You got crap everywhere and only as single bulb above! There was no way we would have found anything even if we knew where it was. LOL

It was good seeing the pig though.

Haha I know man I'm not the neatest guy with my side of the garage I know where everything is though as long as I can find what I need I'm good. As for light the big flourescent worked good when I brought it in december but after about a month they started dying. Just need some new bulbs.

Ace sells them for 2.99

Power Stallion

Got my power steering working, fellas!

Labored for a few hours trying to rewire the thing without success; then Troll showed-up and got me up and running. The man is a master!

Looking forward to gettin my cruiser dirty at Tellico. Hopefully we can unass the A.O. after lunch Firday and meet in Clemson to convoy up there.

If you have a CB (radio), please bring it.

Thanks for the comment Alex.

As for JP's knuckle rebuild

here are the picture of "monkey boy and his axe"

Amazing

I don't think I can contain these images just to us UC members.

Notice the oil

And my front end.

Thanks Alex for help. Took us 2.5 hrs to get everything taken apart.

Nice, neat, and labeled with specific trays for right and left sides.

Thats the JP wrenching I'm used to seeing. I wish I had taken pictures the time he was trying to get his intake and exhaust on right and was squatting on top of the engine, it was priceless.
