Maybe. The head was fun but the machinist did so much that it wasn’t THAT much work tho cleaning the block and moving the pistons to clean them was fun. I was pretty impressed at how well large trifold diapers fit in each folded three times then rolled like fat sausages.

Using the centering tool was fun. I was so nervous but it wasn’t too hard once I understood the concept. And thanks to @Jaric00n for letting me borrow it. It will be on its way back very soon. And my friend not here who lent me his calipers too.

Next up, TREs and then rear drums, shoes, master cylinders and cleaning up the bellcranks.

Love the diaper image! Easy to visualize the size of he cylinder volume that way!!!

I wish I’d used a centering tool now. I think I have a leak past my wipers or something already and I have a thump every once in a while that I haven’t been able to find yet. From reading your thread and responses, I’m starting to think I need to take a look at my bearings there.

"Slave" cylinders are the small hydraulic cylinders that make the brake shoes expand when you press the brakes.

"Master" cylinder is the main brake cylinder attached to the booster plenum.

Please don't use the $3 slaves. Get the $20 slaves. Mo'bettah.

So thrilled w/ the way the truck rides now. Stopped by the local lake after grabbing some groceries.
And picked up an older bench grinder today for $20.

Recently did the 555 TRE and relay rod end kit bought from a gracious mud member who didn’t need it. And added a new steering stabilizer from @cruiseroutfit as well.

Took her to a Meineke for a shop alignment afterward and was like a mother hen watching the kid doing it. Good thing I checked cuz he tightened the clampbasically not even on the relay rod end. I had to fix it when I stopped for water at a local spring.

And during nap yesterday I pulled the tint from the 4 front windows. I’m gonna leave it in the back for privacy and a bit more deterance for my tools I keep back there.
Heat gun worked like a charm... honestly it was almost too hot even on low.
