I have had a lot of early 40’s over the year’s, my 65 Fst has an under seat tool box mat that seams to be factory? It has the same pattern as the steps and has a cutout for the drain. Most 40’s this would be long gone as this is the perfect rust factory!! Luckily this 40 is a California survivor and is mostly rust free. Anyone else have a mat in there under seat tool box! I don’t recall this being talked about.

Very cool Whitey! It does appear well done and tidy like a factory job. The only thing that makes me question it being OEM is it not being white pyramid vinyl. That’s all I’ve ever seen on my early Cruisers and literature. I know ‘65 and later LVs had black vinyl but it was still the pyramid pattern.

But who knows and regardless it’s unique, practical, and cool!

Is it also on the running board?
