Are you throwing a filter on it or are you tapping into the air cleaner housing?

I personally think it's better to tap into the air canister. Clean air that isn't at risk of water intrusion. Uses same filter as truck with nothing else to maintain. Does have a level of commitment since you have to cut a hole. :P

Solberg makes a nice filter that can screw right in to the adapter flange on the top of the York. See Solberg | Filter Series Detail | FS Series 1/4"-1" Filter Silencers. The element is easily replaced if it becomes clogged (which mine never has).

Lots to discuss and I'm not sure what is the best way forward with this project.

One of the owners of the metal shop, the one I was working with, was sent to prison for one year for drug offenses. I don't have any relationship with the other two owners since they are never there and they have had a hard time finding someone to take over their engineering and CAD development. Then to add insult to injury they had a newbie working the laser bed and something happened that destroyed the laser head so they had to shut down laser cutting for over three weeks now to have it replaced. That means everything gets pushed. Who gets pushed the farthest down? You guessed it, the small guy. Ugh.

So I just had enough and found another metal shop actually closer to me that JUST opened up and they actually have multiples of the same machines my old place was using. They seem to be a good group and understand what I am trying to accomplish. Their pricing isn't as good but it saves me in aggravation and drive time. No terms yet since I'm new with them so self funding each project is going to be tough.

Add to all of this but I moved, 7 blocks away, to the hills because it has a larger garage and it has a pool :flipoff2:
Its taken me more than two weeks to get everything packed and moved and unpacked and situated. Add to that all of the construction, landscaping and pool work. Ugh. Needless to say I am extremely behind and I need to get caught up and thats what I'm preparing to do.

That brings me to this project. I have a new prototype being made with the new shop and I have prices quoted for the bracket. My concern is I'm quickly approaching a price point that I think will scare away most, if not all of you and thats BEFORE adding in anything for me. The York OBA kit was one thing and there is legacy info to work from and people understood, for the most part, what they were getting. I'm not 100% sure I can explain well enough what this kit does and detail the value in not having to figure out things, research components, look what everyone else has done, figure out mounting, gather components for testing, etc etc.

So the questions:
1. Is anyone actually interested in this?
2. How many still interested if the entire kit approaches $350?

Good to have you back Joey, was wondering what was up with the lack of posting. Hope all is well with business, family, etc.

Answers to Questions;

1. I am interested.
2. Still interested at $350-400 for the kit.

Yeah it's been a rough and tumble three weeks or so. But I'm set up and ready to get back to it.

1. Yes!
2. Depends what all comes with it. If it's everything I need to finish the install, then yes!

As of now it's everything to mount a tank that you literally just need the hose coming in (from York or electric compressor) and the hose going out to the Quick Disconnect.

@NLXTACY
My input if it matters....I have the bracket and pulley back from when Stainless Doctor ran the last GB from a few years back. I have purchased a York 210 and a nice Wilkerson coalescing filter, the filter was $175 alone, so $350 and someone else puts a quality "kit" together is a really good price and saves a lot of headaches on searching for the right quality.

See that's the issue, this kit is for the bolt-on tank setup. Only the York requires the manifold and filter.

Well I need a tank to but have some issues with the standard mounting as I have a Labs rear winch bumper and so my OEM "spare tire" space is now limited. Still think the price is not bad for the amount of work and research involved.

I'm a little confused. Will this kit have the manifold, filter, pressure switch, gauge etc? Or just the hoses and tank?

I'm a little slow. Maybe just list what comes in the kit?

Thanks.

1. Yes, please.
2. Add me to the list for a soup-to-nuts solution (except I plan to mount my tank under the driver using MetalTech's bracket for my sliders).

Takes up about a foot if you start at the second crossmember. Doesn't come near the bumper.

^^^This. I am interested in the complete kit and plan the same installation since I have MetalTech Sliders.

I have been watching this thread with moderate desperation hoping that this project wouldn't get shelved.

$350 sounds reasonable to me.

I'm still in

On the next note. Don't forget to order me around as far as what tank to buy, who to buy it from and the same with any other parts i have to get on my own. I prefer not to do any thinking. That's why $350 sounds fine.

More confusion, my tank mounting kit will INCLUDE the tank and everything else needed to make it plug n play

I'm good at the price. Now I just need to get the bracket and pulley setup!
