what number did you call?
well plastic got in the equation because I heard that the new tanks were plastic and not as strong as the old ones but now I'm thinking thats wrongas far as I know... tanks are metal. I was told my 60 had already had the recall. Fuel tank is metal. How did plastic get in the equation?

NYC, thanks for the # in your previous, and now this, post. I just got off the phone. My truck had both recalls done in the early 90's. The gas tank was replaced on Jan 16, 1992 at Burk/Burke(sp?) Toyota, no idea where that is though.
Too bad though, would be nice to have a brand new tank! At least mine hasn't sprayed gas out on me, though!

lol ya thats what I was saying but they insisted lolJust wondered, as I had not heard of a plastic tank on the 60.
