Ok the old motor that I pulled cranked when I turned the key. Now the new motor that I have since put in doesn't crank from the key. I am trying to find the correct place for all the wires from the firewall and the silenoid and the coil so that I have everything connected correctly. (duh right) I though I got everything back the way it was before but I guess not. I have looked under the ignition switch under the dash and have been able to find 3 or those 4 wires. I believe that I have two of them over by the starter coming out of the loom, one is a black with a yellow stripe and the other is black with a white stripe. One looks like it goes to the distributer by the look of the connections and the other I'm not sure as to where it went/goes. Also can anyone tell me what the two points on the silenoid are. I know the big one is the positive from the battery and then there is one below that one which is a blade connection and one to the right that is a phillips head screw. Would be great to be able to find out which goes where and where the pos and neg connections to the coil go to as well. I've tried all the diffent options that I can think of. I'm starting to think that I'm missing the power to the ignition/key switch. I believe the starter is good because I can use a screwdriver and force the motor to crank, when I touch the screwdriver between the big pos cable and the small blade connection. Any help would be great.
