Driving my 82 BJ42 to work today it started to rain so I tried to turn on my wipers and they did come on, however got stuck half way, then started again and got stuck, this happened a few times. I turned them off, tried to turn them on and nothing, no movement. Tried turning them off and on a few more times and again with the stopping and starting. The blades are new and I have never had issues before...and it was raining hard enough that they wouldn't stick to the window. Any idea what this problem is?

Open up the motor and make sure it isn't all gummed up inside. That's a pretty common problem. If that isn't it, check to make sure you are getting power to the motor.

Good luck!

I ve had to take several switches apart and clean the corrosion out seams the very little contact they get with the corrosion heats the switch and looses contact.
