Pic 1: Me ALMOST bottoming out on a small obstacle. I really wanted alot of the landscape in my pictures more than the cruiser. It was really pretty there.

Pic 2: One of the coolest crawler rigs I saw there. It kicked ass.

Pic 3: That was at the top of probably a 100 yard waterfall that was an insane rock crawl to the top. It got to the top, and got stuck in the mud where it blew out its front driveshaft losing its 4WD and therefore it was stuck in 2WD in the mud and the winch wouldnt budge it. A dodge pickup got him out later in the day.

Pic 4: First day I was there at the Rock Garden. Check out that view.

Pic 5: Me flexed out a little on a hill there. The scenery here was awesome.

Pic 6: The crawler in pic 4 turned over. The guy on the side is attaching a winch cable.

Pic 7: Me just about completely flexing the OME 2.5 on a rock on the trail.

why? more pics. less rehashing.

I experienced the axle mount flaring out after pulling the front bolt, flex is wonderful with it out, and with a little support added to the axle mount, I am plenty happy, although not 100% satisfied yet. To be completely satisfied, a 3-link or y-link setup is required.

I corrected that, and said

What did you do to support it??

My brother in law wanted to test-drive the LX this weekend... we went to a local trail (Eagle Peak). Made it about 1/2 way up the really difficult section before we ran into 3' of unpassable snow. Wet, icy, steep, off camber for about 1/4 mile. You could see where someone had tried to break trail... made it about 20'...

We ended up exploring the area... gotta like driving the LX on ATV trails! "A bit tight", you might say.

Back at the trailhead, my son (almost 5) wanted to stop and throw rocks in the pond... We were throwing 30lb boulders onto the ice and they would sink a few inches, but not go through.

After a bit, this taco came back down the trail (girlfriend/wife, and teenager with him). He REALLY wanted to drive into the pond.  We told him it was deep (it drops to over 3' almost immediately), and there were logs and boulders clearly visible.

I ended up "spotting" him while he backed in. Made it all of about 4' in... diff on a rock, and bumper riding on the ice.

Afterward, he was nice enough to haul off the transmission my bro-in-law and I had hauled up out of the creek. :)

I have asked Romer to move Heath and my posts to another thread. I would like to discuss the points with Heath more, so I asked Ken to move them and delete them from the thread. Sorry to mess up the web wheeling. I just could not let the statrements go without commenting on them.

I have so moved. keep the chat out of this thread

This was a few weeks ago. The little stream got damned up and is now as my 4 year old calls it a duck pond. It is over 40" deep at one point. I walked it in my underwear. It was very cold. Fortunately there are no pictures of that.
