I'm not saying there's a high failure rate, but it's factual that the pinion gear is smaller and therefore more likely to break compared to a larger diameter pinion gear. That's not moot or reaching, it's fact.
Nitro Gears 5.29s with 315s Toyo MT's on factory rims. Have Full armor and storage drawers. I tow a 24ft. travel trailer. Up the grade with the new gears I can pull the trailer around 45mph as apposed to around 30 with stock. I eventually plan for 37s. But even if I don't it's more beneficial to me to keep the 5.29s!Thanks for all the replies. This is exactly what I’m looking for. That’s the same as my grade. Thanks!!!Cuesta grade is about 7% for 3 miles.
