I know it is pretty far out, but the BRP is closed a few miles from Mt. Pisgah. I wholly assume they will have it ready by fall when we do our annual ride from Pisgah to Mitchell. But hey, it was the first time the 40 had been up there, and the longest I have driven it at one time, wasn't too bad save the exhaust fumes from my multiple leaks... Anyhow, Pisgah is off in the distance in one of these...

Thanks for posting those pics.
I spend many a summer off of the Little East Fork of the Pigeon River at a BSA Camp up that way.
Great part of the county!

Would that me Camp Daniel Boone?

Has to be Daniel Boone. We went there in 09 and loved it.But that lake is COLD!!!

Good news!! Anyone desiring to get up into the high country for cooler temps can do so... The roadblock that is pictured above is no longer there!!! The road to Mt. Pisgah is open, and the Pisgah inn and campground are open for business, i'll be up there in a few weeks for some good eating, and some hiking... Just thought i'd share...

I was up there last weekend. 95 in Greenville 70 in Pisgah. We spent most of the time right off the road above the falls playing in the water.

I can see your child scrambling for the shore, that water in the D is COLD!!!
