Is black the only Husky color choice for the 80? Shame they're not available in dark brown. I've been using an older set of factory LX470 all-weather rubber floor mats I had out of an earlier truck (an earlier version of these: eBay Motors: New Factory Lexus LX470 All-Weather Floor Mat Set LX (item 170288524463 end time Dec-26-08 21:00:00 PST)), and the color is PERFECT. Surprisingly, the front mats are almost the correct shape too (the second row seats are even closer).......I suspect I could do a little trimming and make them work quite well, although that might reduce their "liquid-containing" capabilities............now, if I could just figure out how to get that big "L" out of the center of them.............

I think that they used to make them in brown, but I haven't seen any that weren't black.

Would you like to clear out the space in your garage where the extra liners are sitting? I might be interested in your 2nd and 3rd row liners.

I am still using the second row, it catches all the stuff that rolls of the shower liner up on the flat portion, the cargo liner is certainly in my way, I am not that far from you, southwest of ATL (for now) liner is in another state (where I am moving) though, I can bring it back in mid January if you are interested. its tan BTW. make offer.

only complaint is how the driver mat slips around

Same here. The problem of course is the plastic heel pad that is glued to the carpet. The little teeth just ride on top of heel pad and make for poor contact of the other teeth into the carpet. I need to get around to snipping off the teeth in that area to see if it makes a difference.

Just velcro the thing and call it good; even if you snip the teeth off of there you can still slide the thing forward and hit the accelerator with your foot.

I wanted to thank everybody for their suggestions and tips for the Husky Liners. I ordered a complete set, front, middle and cargo, black, liners, from The Parts Bin. They came extremely quickly and as good a price as I found anywhere else.

They did fit very well, make the floor look a lot more finished, and weather resistent, than the older pads I had from Wally world. Those were great for what I paid for them, but these are so much nicer fitting and look better.

The car wash made good on paying for the mats they lost/stole out of my rig, and I paid for the cargo liner. Worked out well, but what a pain in the ass. Wish I had never gone there, but...I do have new mats now so...it has worked out.

I'll look for the extreme velcro. If somebody finds where to order it, please post it. Also will look into bolting the cargo liner as suggested. Sounds like a good idea to me.

Thanks again.

Just get some husky's and be done with it....

i'm going to beat a dead horse and say husky

i didn't get the molded ones though... they aren't a perfect fit to the 80s lines.

i dont know how i screwed that one up or maybe where i ordered from just shipped me the generic but make sure you get the right fit. i had to pull out the left foot rest to get the mat to lay flat. it was driving me crazy when it wasnt down all the way and messed with my feet when i was driving... not a good thing. but they work and i just take a hose to them every once in awhile and they are good as new

Another vote for Husky Liners. With all the snow we have had recently its nice to not have to care about getting your boots totally clean before you get in. The mats are stiff, but that allows them to contain whatever you bring in your rig.

After the car would warm up in some cases there might be several cups of melted snow in contained in the mat. Highly recommend them.

Also, agree with others the driver side mat likes to slide forward.

another vote for weathertech, just put a set of digital fits in a new accord, very nice fit and finish and do not slide

Husky's are good in the 80. Running Weathertech in the 100. I am liking the Weathertech better. They are heavier and don't slide around as much.

Either way, you are winner. Great stuff.

I just got my WeatherTech mats in the other day. I got the thicker ones with the grooves rather than the thinner catch all because we don't get that much wet weather here in San Diego.
Anyway, I love the look and feel of them but it looks like I am going to have to make some modifications to get them in unfortunately.
The fronts either need to be trimmed or I need to remove the dead peddle on the left. *EDIT* Do you think with the dead pedal out that will solve the problem on the left side of the mat? I will also have to cut a hole for the factory hook to help hold it in place. But my main concern and what may cause me to send them back is that they seem to interfere with the gas pedal because they are so thick.

As for the rear they have and obvious design to trim them for the front seat brackets and I just need to figure out what type of blade to use for a nice clean cut.

So let me here from you WeatherTech mat owners and let me know how you solved the problems with the front mats because I don't like the Husky catch all liners at all.

Just my $.02 but those weathertech ones are so thick that you should make sure the accelerator pedal cannot touch them. Also, I had weathertechs in another vehicle and found that without the extra large lip of mats like husky mats, snow and mud and slush eventually escapes the mat; with the husky mats I can literally have a small sloshing puddle all contained within the mat's material without worry about anything hitting the carpet. From time to time (like after parking for the day) I just stick a rag in the water and let it soak the stuff up. I've really found that feature helpful. Anyways and again, just my $.02. Thanks.

I have trimmed the heavy rubber mats using a new blade in an Olfa/Xacto knife. It left a nice clean edge. Practice on the piece you are cutting off before making the final cut (trim off one chunk at a time to get a feel for it)

I normally come out in the morning and all the water had pooled in a corner and frozen solid, so I can pick up the chunk of ice and chuck it out. Works great! I really like the Husky liners.

I finally got some OEM mats about a year ago and placed the Husky mats on top of the clipped in OEM mats, and of course my Huskie liners don't move around anymore. This to me seems to be the best way to run the Husky mats.
