Car wash put my rubber floor mats in another vehicle after they washed them. Now say they will replace mine, just told me to order new ones and give them the receipt.

Who makes the best ones now? I've seen a lot of guys using Husky liners, and have seen Weathertech advertised. I had some heavy duty Walmart ones that were generic but worked great. Any recommendations?

Want black color.

Need to order ASAP. If you recommend a place to order from, please let me know.

Thanks,

the mats right joey?:flipoff2:

Husky are supposed to be the cats pajamas, i still haven't bought them yet, i keep emailing the page to the GF, brother, dad... none of them have gotten the hint.

Another thumbs up for Husky. They are not really soft rubber, hold their form well and have an outer lip that holds water, debris, etc. Just pull the mat & dump it. Front, rear, & cargo fit very well in my 80. I had them in a Jeep for 7 years & they held up great. Just depends on if you like the tall outer lip or not. Expensive but worth it imo. Google for best online price.

Found these. P/N 3540 for 91-97 L/C's 3 different colors (maybe).

Reading some reviews here: Husky Floor Mats
About half say they don't fit as well as they expect but good enough, the other half say they fit well. No comments found from Landcruiser owners though.

Time to replace mine as well, I have to buy my own though :(

I have the Husky mats in mine. Had them for about 9 years -- transferred them from my old FZJ80 when I sold her...

love them.

Love my huskys mats!!!!!

Are you guys talking about the huskyliner mats or the liners? The liners are the ones that look like a bath tub, the mats are....well....rubber mats, don't have the lip. I am trying to decide which ones I want.

husky liners.
custom molded to fit the interior of your specific make/model.

no odor...as far as I can tell...

I have the Husky complete set specifically for the 80 series. They fit wonderfully well and trap tons of snow, slush, mud, etc. They didn't smell strongly at all. I do strongly recommend "Extreme Velcro"-ing the drivers side to the foot form on the left side of the drivers foot well; I once put pressure on the mat as I was working to back the rig up with limited vis ... the mat slid forward forcing the accelerator down ... it took some time (milliseconds which seemed like minutes) to figure out why the rig was racing in reverse towards the garage! I had to dig the heal of my big ole boot on the liner to force it to its proper position before the rig really stopped. Stupid thing to do however the Extreme Velcro ( I tried the lesser types they offer without any luck) fixed it for me. HTH.

Ohh, one other thing that I "learned" - I got their rear cargo mat and cut out all the areas mold-marked for the third seat metal "straps" mounted to the floor - then I realized that the mat slid somewhat so I zip tied the small strip of rubber that went right over the metal straps and then I realized that those small strips of rubber weren't strong enough to hold the whole mat from sliding somewhat. I never ever use the third row seat and actually only use the hold downs to strap things down with ... so ... IF i had to do this all over again, I wouldn't cut out those very precisely marked cut outs that Husky mold-marks into the mat, what I would do is remove the four strong metal straps and then arrange the mat precisely in place and then bolt those four strong metal straps through the liner and into their proper positions. That would really work well to hold the liner in place, it would still allow access to those straps which really are handy as handy gets, and it would prevent puddling of water into those recessed areas that are open once one cuts out the rubber there.

only complaint is how the driver mat slips around

same here, whatever I am doing it seams to be distorting the mat towards the dead pedal over the past 5 years.

What is this extreme velcro you speak of TC? that seams like it may be the ticket to fix that.

I bought all three rows but I don't use the cargo one anymore as my 80 has been a two seater for few years now, without the second row the rear cargo mat us useless, wound up with a chunk of shower liner to cover the back, workd out well,

I have not had to vacuum my 80 for a long time, just pick up the liners and dump them out in the trash can, every once in a while scrub em with a broom and soap and water, like new again.

It is 'industrial strength' velcro and it is also 'marine grade' velcro. Cannot remember whether I got it at Home Depot or through West Marine but it is incredible stuff much stronger and stiffer than regular velcro and much more moisture resistant. The reason my mat slid back so easily was I was pushing my foot forward into it to lift and look up over an overloaded cargo area as I reversed, its a bad habit but I've learned to lessen the force and also to use my arm against the chairs to basically give a little lift-look. I tried to link to their site but I cannot seem to link to particular product pages but again it is in the industrial strength category, the marine grade category and I seem to remember the package saying "Extreme" on it somewhere but I may be wrong about that. I really recommend everyone doing this to their Husky Liners to prevent a possible "pedal to the metal" incident that you would not want. HTH.

Would you like to clear out the space in your garage where the extra liners are sitting? I might be interested in your 2nd and 3rd row liners.

BUY HUSKY LINERS! (They're made in Winfield, KS!) I sold off my FJ62s just so I could buy an LC that Husky made liners for! :grinpimp:

My post from last June. I spent too much time looking for lowest price.

I've always used Husky Liners, as catching a mess is a strong point. The ones in my Tundra are now over 8 years old. Haven't had any problems, as of 12/08, with LX450's driver liner sliding around. Any chance FJ80 floor mats came with small plastic hook which hooks into both carpet & mat, as Tundra's? That hook had to go to fit the Huskys correctly.

Just bought some black ones for my LX450 at the lowest price I could find. Turned out to be on Amazon, Sold by: AutoPartsWAY Arrived in < week.

Another vote for the Huskey liners.

I just dumped out probably 3 cups of water from the driver's side that melted and dripped off my shoes that would have ended up in the carpets without the huskey liners. The lip isn't that bad, and is worth it to save the floors.

been using husky liners for years, on various applications.. nothing better that i know about.
