Who makes the best rubber floor mats?

Anything. The lip on them gets very annoying very quickly and they are paper thin. Also, they can freeze and break! Some guys are using some mats made for the 100's that are nice and fit the 80 real good. Wish I could remember the brand so I could tell you. A search may bring them up.
Well I thought the lip was going to bother me as well, but as they are the only form fitted mat that is still available for the 80 I deceided to try them. And I have yet to catch my foot getting in or out. Neither has front or rear passengers that I'm aware of.

I have the exomat from Autoanything in the cargo as it is the only semi custom cut piece available. Not only is it still outgassing something that just plain reeks after 9 months, as noted above, it is a bitch to clean.

As to being thin or freezing, I've had a set in a Wrangler that stays at my house up in Flagstaff and now has almost 200k on it. And if you don't know AZ, it gets below zero up there frequently. They've neither worn out or cracked. So, in all I call BS.

That being said, would I rather have a nice soft set of WTechs, yeah I would. Are they going to make them for a diminishing market of 80's? No, and they have already said that. For now, the Husky's are the only option for a custom fit that will retain a large amount of liquid/mud/dirt/sand. And they are made still in the US.

Huskys aren't the only custom fit option. There are quite a few options if you're willing to pay for shipping from Australia. Sandgrabba are what I may eventually go with. They're expensive and so is the shipping. No Bull Accessories also make PVC floor covering to replace your carpet as well as custom fit mats.

Now I've got all the install of the Tru-fit resomat + underlay + flooring stuff done in the front, the only thing I want to work out now is getting some rubber (not carpet) mats to trap all the mud and gunk so most of it doesn't track into the floor channels over time. I don't know if the Sandgrabba ones can work with a vinyl-floored 80 as they seem to be intended to work with carpeted floors. Anyone know the answer to that?

I've got an old Saab car rubber mat on the drivers side footwell at the moment and it's very good but I haven't seen anything that looks like it to actually fit the shape of the 80's front footwells.

This is the mat I'm referring to:

Is there anything at all like this for landcruisers? All the well-known brands of mat here in Oz seem to do carpet mats but not rubber stuff similar to the above. It I could get a new set of the Saab mats, I'd just use them in the interim (and then later put them in my Saab 900). The mat in the picture is from the 1980's and still good enough for now.

Craig.
