who is doing their own powder coating (1 Viewer)

Just won an ebay auction for an oven and ordered some powder and the two stage powder coat gun from eastwood. Just curious to know how many people are doing their own coating in the garage and what kind of set up you guys have. Here is the oven.
I won the auction for 99.95 but the shipping cost me another 275. so im into the oven for 375.

That's a pretty awesome oven. Looks like you can fit bellhousings in there easily.

I do a spray on bake on coating for firearms and other small items. I would love an oven this size in my shop.

On the coating side, many guys have success using the harbor freight stuff, for powder coating and powder (they have some preferences in color for hardness etc)

Have fun, I often dream of taking my FZJ80 apart to powder coat everything. Maybe in the next house with a bigger shop and I spring for a big oven.
