There are 6 different gear ratios for the plastic gear. Not all six are still available. Do you know which one you have?

This is the OEM unit that was in my '77, I used the 33403-69065 kit to replace the worn parts .... it's drive gear is 6x18

Note, there is also a part number (33403-69075) shown for 2/76-1/79 that has a 6x16 drive gear.

The ratio you have/need is stamped into the shank. I have new ones of those available on the shelf, as well as used ones of the rest.

And speedometer cables.
