White pearl touch up paint

This is for my GX 470 - I assume the paint is the same for LX470...

I was using 0070 (00258-00070) touch up paint for some time. when went to purchase more at Lexus dealership - they insisted I need 0040 (00258-00040) as base paint and then cover it with 070. I was told I need clear coat (0000??) to cover 070 before.

I am confused. Is the guy at dealership BS'ing me? Or was I sold wrong stuff earlier?

The base paint and top coat sound correct. I haven't heard of a clear coat for touch up paint.

Thank you for feedback! There is a clear coat - 00C - do not remember for which car I got it though....
