#1 is more like OEM, pre 1979.

i have the energy suspension body mount set on my 40 and i am happy with it. it is very soft material and does cushion the ride a bit. i would buy it again!

you can get the energy suspension set for a better price at summitracing.com.

call Cruiser Outfitters and order the Energy Suspention kit...it's on my "list of things to get done before CM07"

:)
I got the same kit from Kurt. It is a good kit, well made, and Kurt made me a helluva deal on it. Great guy to deal with. JMO

Hi All:

I used the Energy Suspension brand poly body mounts when completing the body tub swap on my FJ40 in the Spring of 2005. They seem like quality parts, but the mounts shown in that E-Bay ad are *not* 40 Series mounts!

I did not know that DayStar made/sold 40 Series body mounts; good to know for future projects!

Yes, the Energy Suspension body mount kit can be had through Summit Racing at a very attractive price.

Good luck with your rig!

yup good ol Cruiser Outfitters. That poor guy is probably swamped from the extended absence for the wedding/honeymoon

Just about caught up ;)

Has anyone noticed a difference in terms of a soft ride after replacing their factory mounts?
Absolutely, one of the best upgrades (per dollar) that can be done to a LC for many reasons including the old OE body mounds are hard as a rock and no longer absorbing/dampening.
